It just blew me away that a maybe 5 pound animal can make a perfect 1.5oz container of protein in twenty four hours. So one chicken could produce an offspring everyday, that's like 360 chickens from one mommy chicken, in one year. Nothing made in the USA is that productive. I can't even make one egg a year, and this little bird makes one everyday, are you kidding ? That is the definition of unbelievable.
lol,.. its really not that remarkable.. just so ya know,they generally lay very sporadically if the weather is too hot or too cold.. sometimes they will go a month or two without laying a egg.. i am assuming youve never spent much time out of the city?? lol
My grandma raised chicken her whole life, I never payed any attention. A friend of mine mentioned he was getting nearly a dozen eggs a day and I got to wondering, how many chickens does it take to get that many eggs. She told me you have to feed them " laying mash" and they will leave you a egg almost every morning. Craziest thing I ever heard.
