If the latter, anything more educational doesnt really exist, you are never going to see a direct correlation between orientation and genetics, many people want it to be true. Some of those causalities get up the nose of even the most open minded supposedly non bigoted people. Especially the many sibling correlation : there are genetic markers to start with, differing androgen levels with each consecutive child.....buuuuuut then also the social factors no one reallty wants to talk about -> what really happens when its a liitle dude growing up with 4 older sisters....ewwww ick, different again and will end up a different kind of gay if instead its 4 older brothers

Or the concept that just because it may end up having an effect later on in life that has something to do with sex, doesnt mean the cause early on had anything to do with sex.

Again, it willl just come down to what people want to believe

I just don't understand how gayness is a choice and being straight is not a choice. I never consciously chose to be straight, and choosing to have sex exclusively with women isn't what makes me straight. The fact that I'm attracted to women, regardless if I ever have sex with a woman, is what makes me straight. And I give gay people the benefit of the doubt when they claim that they too were always exclusively interested in members of their own sex. They don't make the choice to be gay when they go ahead and have sex with someone of the same sex.

Growing up I was friends with a neighborhood kid who was always gay. In a homosexual way. His favorite thing to do, at the age of six, was to play Barbies with my sister. I'm not saying that playing with Barbies makes you gay, but this kid was always gay. And when he finally came out, we were all like, "Well yeah."

 

I'm a manager of a small town pizza place. The KKK is not very prevalent here, though there are of course a few members, since it's kind of a racist little shit town, but not near enough to have a rally. If they put in an order for 50 pizzas, would I sell them, cut them a discount (because all orders of 10 or more get a free pizza), and have it delivered to their location? You bet your ass I would. Am I racist? I wouldn't say so. Do I agree with their opinion and their past actions of violence? Nope. But there's this thing called the anti-discrimination act, and a thing called good business. It's terrible business to turn away a paying customer, regardless of their ethnicity, sexual preference, religious beliefs, or flat out bigotry.

 

Exactly, and furthermore it isnt like gay people are attracted to ALL gay people iof the same gender and straight people are attracted to ALL straight people of the opposite gender.

Attraction is a wonderful and mysterious thing. Its not like I can just find a nice fella and force myself to be attracted to them. It is a chemical reaction. No one regardless of sexual orientation can choose who they are attracted to. It just happens.

I think you're wrong there. I have turned away quite a few customers and my business is fine just the same. I didn't do it to discriminate against anyone (I have no idea about their religion or sexual orientation) but to get rid of nagging people who get me nowhere business-wise. I firmly believe that serving ANYONE is bad for business whereas choosing your clientele will add to your reputation - good or bad.

I wouldn't want to be known as the guy who runs the pizza joint where the KKK come in every other night.

I don't embrace homosexuality, nor do I oppose it. I do find it deviant and disgusting. However, I am not going to look down upon someone just because they're gay, even though I may not support their lifestyle. I believe people should do whatever they want in the privacy of their own home with another consenting adult. Whether other people agree with it or not is irrelevant, but of course I support people's right to voice their opposition to something, especially since the gay community is allowed to force their views down everyone's throat unimpeded.

Well, I don't think there is anything unnatural about two different races getting together. Two races of man and woman can breed a perfectly healthy child, which would indicate there is nothing unnatural about it. Two people of the same sex are unable to reproduce, and clearly the waste orifice is not intended for genitalia.
