This wasn't what I thought it was

Have you ever heard a song on the radio and visualized it one way, only to be totally blown away when you actually watched the video? I really liked this song when I first heard it on the radio, but when I watched the video, and the ending was quite shocking. Anyone ever experience something similar, whether it was a song, a movie, an actual experience, etc.?

Originally, I thought the singer from Portugal the Man was a sexy woman. I didn't like the song for awhile after I found out it was a man singing falsetto!

 

I rarely watch music videos.

 

I just listened to "Feel It Still" and I thought that was a woman lead singing this whole time. What's up with that?

When I first heard Love Story by Taylor Swift on the radio I thought it was a sweet song. Then I watched the video and saw she was a teenie bopper and was embarrassed I'd liked it.

She was 18. But what got me is the video is full of high school kids.

 

I liked this song when I heard it on the radio when I was younger, but now after seeing the video for the first time ever im just now realizing that this guy is singing about an underage girl he wants to have an intimate relationship with.
