Not sure why you would pay to see what it was like back then. You could just go to Williamsburg VA. Or Allaire state Park NJ. Or most Amish communities.
I could make a joke about certain states here but yall can make your own.

I was watching a bit of a basketball game and a Black Friday advert came on the commercial and they used an Asian as the person selling th advert.

No way! This year has been great. But I guess, I'm the type of person that headed to the video store to rent bad movies. It's like I'm addicted to them. I pick them up, "oh this looks like it would be shit, better watch it". I don't know why I just always liked b grade horror flicks.

And maybe the movies weren't that great this year, but!! At least there was potential, for I haven't been to the cinemas this many times in years.

It is cranberry sauce here, so it is repetition on my part. I remember as a kid watching it slide out of the can and loving it. I was never a 'sauce' kid I liked big chunks of the canned goodness with my turkey. Too bad, though, it was pushing 95 degrees on thanksgiving day, too hot to cook turkey.

 

This Christmas we will have turkey. I don't want to see pork for at least 4 months.

 

They say that everything ever written was already written before...but to make it so people see something with new eyes is key. This writer....Chiang...is a serious science fiction writer...and is poetic, as well. I go with the deep meanings....of the story and movie...and did not care about the smaller insignificant details, like why didn't they know our language already...i think they did...but we did not know theirs.

3 dead, 5 sickened after Thanksgiving meal in Antioch, California

ANTIOCH, Calif. — Three people died and five others were sickened after eating a Thanksgiving meal prepared at Antioch’s American Legion Hall by a local church, according to a Contra Costa County Health Services spokeswoman, reported.

All eight people were admitted to Sutter Delta Medical Center at various times between Friday and Saturday with what appeared to be food borne illnesses.

Three people died, four were treated and released and one person remains hospitalized, according to the hospital.
