I was watching Seinfeld before and Elaine mentioned singing a song from the Lion King. :unsure: made the Lion King seem reeeeaaaaally old lol.

 

I've discovered more music in the past ten years of my life than the first 30.

 

I'm going to see these three bands in a couple weeks, can't wait to see them, but I just wonder what they will look and sound like now, I can remember and sing along to their songs, but the 80s was yesterday, yeah?

I'm 37, but it seems more and more I turn off the radio in favor of something else; a cd, or my mp3 player for example. The radio always plays crap. I turn it to the classic rock station because they seem to be a little more 'tuned in' so to speak.

I feel old!

 

I saw a poster for upcoming aussie tour of Kreator a couple days ago, I thought fuckin Kreator, seriously, how old are those guys?

But Millie Petrozza is only 4 years older than me

I remember listening to them in high school, never realizing fucker was barely out of high school himself

Music for the most part is shit nowadays.

But a few of them, the likes of Rihanna and Ariana Grande are better singers than divas of decades past. IMO anyway


The 80s we had the likes of Her Royal Skankness Madonna, Whitney....Celine Dion, who pretty much annoyed the @$#% out of everyone,

I prefer Rihannas voice to any other diva I can think of in the last 3 decades

On the radio this morning they were talking about the song Mr. Brightside and how it never seems to age--does not sound "dated" like other songs from that time. It was released in 2004. That was crazy to me: how did that song get to be 13 years old?

 

Gets worse as you get older, time just seems to speed up

The movie Titanic will be 20 years old this year, 20 friggin years old already, that blows my mind

And my second favourite album of the 90s, Radioheads OK computer is 20 years old this year, again, blows my mind, how was that 20 years ago

 

I was talking to my grandfather and he says he remembers hearing on the radio as the police were trying to capture Bonnie and Clyde, and how fascinated people were by their whole persona. I bet that makes him feel old.

But damn about the Titanic. As much as it might surprise you, I am older than that movie and remember the "Leo" craze that ensued. Ugh.
