Occam IS speaking in the first person.
It is not logically possible for him to speak of himself any other way.

It is U and your rules that call it the third.
And occam has never cared much for human rules that cannot be altered.
It suggests a fearfull conservatism. Fixated and anal retentive.

Actually I smiled while reading the 2 first posts about the third person speaking, but:
They are trying to help you solving a problem here Occam,
you asked for it... They give you what they consider as being the solution to your problem, it is a generous act
One could investigate the reason(s) why you are often a final poster... but I have the feeling you don't want to hear the reasons, do you?
I don't think saying I necessarily refers to your ego, and I dont think refering to it is necessarily a "negative" thing

on many threads and found no reply.. Because of a statistical blip
when nearly all who come here regularly had not done so in that

Well, it happens he is walking in the countryside, he is pretty hungry,
when it is about die or asking something to eat to the farmer who lives there
I would bet he would say something like 'I am hungry' or 'Do you have food for me?'
He would have to refer to himself in a way... if you argue the opposite, then argue the opposite

farmer in a weak and fitfull manner..throw forward a pleading arm
And croak..."please....food"

self. It is implicit in the fact you are speaking. Just
