I like pictures of other people's food. It inspires me to cook someday, when I have a kitchen. If I ever cook something good, maybe I will photograph it.
Its when they start photographing their food after they've already eaten it and take a crap, that it gets a bit gross.
i have no doubt that day will come when this is normal behaviour apparently communal shitting was quite normal amongst some primitive cultures and a good way to keep an eye on the health of the tribe.
i like food ideas. they're not something i collect pictures of. once in a while, if its someone showing off something they made, then its like, things people make, if they're interesting things, and food can be one, how its presented on the plate and so on, then, out of about 85, ooo images so far, i think maybe ten of them are of food. it only looks the way it does on the plate once. its for eating, not looking at. if you don't eat it, or let someone else eat it, it just rots and goes to waste.
I cooked a huge pan of squash yesterday and took a picture, because I was high and it struck me as funny. Because that whole pan of squash was intended for me and only me because I really love squash. So now it's been seared into the memory of my camera FOREVER until I delete it in a day or two
^^^^....So Mel..... Did You Actually EAT Your Creation......Or Just Photograph It For Posterity...??? Cheers Glen.
Might I suggest, that in addition to the squash, you also cook (boil/steam) a sweet potato, parsnip & swede, add the squash too, when cooked/warm empty into a large bowl and add a large knob of butter. Mash down until butter is absorbed. Serve on a plate and add whatever meat is to be the main course. Personally I like this with Haggis.
