They used to fly over my school when i was a kid ( from Burtonwood air base )

Ah - I thought this was going to be more about Mr.Spock.

 

I agree there was a certain elegance and beauty about the design of the Vulcan,
but after all it was an instrument of war, so from my stance I'm not sad to see it go,
similarly so for the Harrier Jump Jet.
