i get smarter when im drunk.. i cant even now understand all i said im sorry to all who had to put up with the rant...Pretty articalate tho for someone who just finnished a bottle of JD,,, eh... i have an ego. Harvester of sorrow.... ThE Razor of Occam
How do you know belief in God has no effect unless you have tried believing? So I think it's logical to believe in God...if you want to see what effects belief in God will incur. Why worry about it? Because you want to live in harmony with reality. I'm not implying that atheists don't want to live in harmony with reality. It's just as logical to be an atheist. It's saying, "I'm going to see what it will be like to believe this is what is real." So the point is more to prove that belief in God or belief in atheism yields results than to prove God does or does not exist. After all, it's impossible to prove that a sentience other than one's self exists.
Sexy who is this occam guy.. i dont know him...lol I believe in god. But i dont believe in the god humanity postulates. Occam
Blessings to all. The needs of the many have garnered the attention of the Prophet and dictated the return of the Oracle. Razorofoccam, He who stands foremost among the thinkers of this place must not succumb to the unreasonableness inherent in the Lords gift of alcohol, nor to the conceit of ego. Let reason and knowledge dictate your words, for a responsibility once assumed is to keep. The Seeker hides cowardly in the back drop, leaving the responsibility of knowledge upon your doorstep, for power is to be utilized, not misused. Stand as a light in a dark place.

The prophet stands aside; the Oracle shall cast the first stone: The darleks do the bidding of the Lord. Does occam stand above the darleks? Or below? Whom shall profess to know? Jack? Jim? Johnnie? Knowledge from witin cannot stand without. Extermination shall reign supreme upon the dying of the light. Hasten it not.
Occam 'stands' knowhere the darleks were devolved humans in cyborg machines, fragile critters. they were loud and boastfull,, cause they were full of shit. occam
What the hell are the Darleks? If somebody needs to cast the first stone, they can cast it at me. I don't see why we have to throw stones in the first place, though. It seems kind of silly, because eventually somebody's going to get hit by a stone, obviously.
soz.. no more stones from this corner... im leaving corner to stand in middle.. join me? I need someone to hold me up, poor old man me.. hehehe especially i sprite young girl with a sexy unicorn butt [oh look, i'm drooling]
Darrell has a lot of give, as does this site... i've been banned from sites just saying 1/2 the crap i've said here. Hip is Hiptastic... DOH.. occam
If the question concerning the existence or non-existence of god is open, then wouldn't a sceptical position be more aligned with the way things appear to be at the moment..... as opposed to any position on one side or the other, both, or none whatsoever?
An open question? The existence of God is a established reality; what is ypur reality, mati? Does the question have meaning for mati? an answer?
I take no position as to "reality". It is not about the appearances that I raise questions, but rather what is said about the appearances, dogmatism. For every argument presented on one side, there are equally convincing arguments made on the other side.
mati.. Dogma is religion,, religion is NOT about a god..it is a story about a specific definition of [a]god. Religion has as much to do with 'a god' as winnie the pooh has to do with bears. Occam
Organized religion; all is does it create wars, create crutches, and fill heads with false hopes of security. I agree with Occam, that religion has nothing to do with 'a god'. I say that is there is 'a god' or not, it shall not want to be called 'a god', instead the IS.
