I just caught the episode and thankfully, even though they had the guys believe that it was a live bat.......when it came time, they used some fake shit or something. So no bats were harmed in the making!
Im very happy about that.......so I guess I spoke too soon:D

i saw the clip last night and was very pleased to see it was just a hot dog covered up. although i was shocked to see all of them go through with it, thinking it was real. happy to see sharon didnt want live bats used in the act :)

i honestly dont think that they bit the heads off live bats. More than likely it was just a big physch out for the band members.

They really don't use bats. I went to last years and what they do is get meat and have it covered in fake blood (or I hope it's fake blood cause that would be gross) and fake the people out. They take the people that want to do it (they think their really going to be biting a bat) then when it comes time they bring them out, blind fold them, and each time they showed everyone what they where using (the meat or whatever) then have the person come up bite down into it. Then you get to watch their face then watch it again when they take the blind folds off and see it was fake. Last year when I went I almost screamed I thought they where going to use real bats. I was about to walk out. But then I seen what it really was.
