this fucking cat

My last dog Sunny was very patient with other dogs and cats. We used to visit a friend who had a Bichon that was very bouncy and would get in Sunny's face. Eventually Sunny would give me this look like he was asking, "Can we go now please!"

 

The wife's cat has takin to laying behind the wood stove, I keep waiting for it to burst into flames. I gets really hot back there.

My cat burned some of her whiskers off once trying to see what a candle was. She learned her lesson for sure!

 

kitties with whiskers cut short are funny too. they use them for location and such, right? so they bump into things when their whiskers aren't right.

once my dad put some tape on a cat we used to have. a strip of tape down the middle of her back. she walked around like she was ducking under something til we took it off, twas cute. i felt bad though.

 

Haha yeah they use them for location and stuff.. my cat did bump into things for awhile. My brother also cut her whiskers once and she did the same thing. I was so mad haha.

I love messing with cats, they are so moody! After Christmas I would put bows from presents on the top of my cats head. Her face was priceless, she was so mad. I took a picture of it. If I can find it I'll post it.

my cat goes crazy when we open presents, mostly the tissue paper i think. she plays with it, in such a funny way.
she does that with plastic bags too, but i don't usually let her play with them so much.

 

Lol, yeah cats are so weird. My cat likes to chew on plastic bags and weird stuff like that, too. She has a bow that she plays with and she'll sit there for like 15 minutes just gnawing the shit out of it haha.

A friend that use to move a lot would trim the whisker of his cat to keep them from running away.

 

why would that really keep them from running away?

 

They use them to see if a space is big enough for them to get through. If they are cut off they can get stuck between things.

 

yes i know. we discussed that already. but i just feel like a cat could still wander off without those.

 

Our cat Stidean got half his whiskers cut by a kid when he was almost 1 years old. The poor cat was clumsy until they grew back. Instead of landing on his feet he would land on his side. I felt so sorry for him. He is 4 now and has all of his whiskers. Now he is very graceful.

Speaking of kittens earlier today the Schwans man came to the door to see if we wanted to order any food. He saw our kitten Zoey and said, "I can't do anything for you until I get to hold the kitten." He picked her up and started snuggling her lol.

 

I've finally learned to put up and shut up regarding people doing stuff such as cutting their cat's whiskers, putting crap on their heads or tape down their backs.

I used to get very upset, cry and yell!

I was relatively the only one that didn't find that shit funny.

When I would smoke weed outside, the cats would ALWAYS hunt me down, crawl all over me and stick their heads in the smoke. They would also rather eat weed than catnip.

My white cat Raith used to sleep behind the woodstove... got hot, never scorched.

and i also don't understand how lack of whiskers makes a cat unable to stray from home.
