I hate getting hassled at stores ect. so thinking of getting tattoos on the tops of my feet that at first glance will appear to be Sandle straps. Maybe bands of Celtic knot work or something.
People acept what they expect to see most times.
Think this is a good idea?

That could be cute. I have barefoot sandals that I wear to trick people. It's basically some srategically tied string.

Getting tattoos to hide the fact that you are barefoot?

Sounds like a bad idea to me.

I personally think a tattoo should be a piece of art that means something to you, so if you are only doing it for that reason, you might regret it later. Google barefoot sandals, they might be a less permanent answer to your problems.

seems like it would be cheaper and less painful to either just wear sandals in those stores, or go to most other stores where nobody gives a shit what's on your feet.

    Thank you for the replys
I like tattoos and they would have meaning to me. I am coming up on 10 years without foot coffins for more then a few minutes to a couple hours and plan on barefootin' the rest of my life so it not just on a wim. could be a good way to comminerate that. Would definitely want them to be works of art.
Pain.. what's a little pain ok probably a lot of pain the bones with out much padding under the skin.
Plus I work with the public and have weirded out a couple well off wino turists. Most of the regulars think it's funny and call me "the barefoot cab driver"
I guess I should have asked in the op do you think they'll work.

I take it you never considered a career in the logging industry.

Yeah I find the barefoot sandals mean I get about half the weird looks I would get without them. I'm not sure if it's because upon first glance they really do like like footwear, or if it is because with the barefoot sandals I look like I at least tried to complete the outfit. Either way, I could see tattoos like that having a similar effect.

I wouldn't bother with it. What if you wanted to change "shoe" style? You can't. I don't wear barefoot sandals because I don't like the styles and they really won't do much to hide my feet being bare anyway. I can always change the style of flip flops when I wear them.

I have most of my feet and ankles tattooed and to be honest it brings more attention not less.
Shoe style tattoos? I don't get it, personally I think the novelty would wear of very quick. Also the ascetic of my feet would be 'shoe' style and that for me would be a big downside; being barefoot is a part of my being and I wouldn't want to hide it.

It makes sense to want to feel the earth on your feet, but what about the concrete, tiles, and other hard flooring?

They're meant to be stepped on with shoes.

I'm pretty sure I missed the Concrete Floor Specific Footwear section in the shoe isle [IMG]

I would like to believe that your having a joke and a bit of a troll, surely you don't think that do you?
