i think you should do it boog. dreads are very symbolic, and if you're ready to let a certain stage of your life go, this is a good way.

i just started my dreads and already i have transformed in very positive ways. i will comb them out when i feel they are no longer helping me grow :D

I like reading all the positive changes you are making in yourself. I was worried about you for awhile, boog.

All the liitle things seem to be coming together...like the story "Stone Soup"...

If you feel the need to change it, you probably should listen to yourself.

i'm going to attempt to comb/brush them out with the help of a lot of conditioner. i realize this might not work at all and that i'll just have to cut them. fine. and no i'm not going to shave my head.. i'm STILL in the middle of court bullshit and might have to file my own case against CPS here soon. besides it's too cold for a bald head... i'd look like my boyfriends twin.. :smilielol5:

good luck in combing out your dreads. i think you can definitely do it - but be aware that there will be a lot of shedding because there are lots of dead hairs locked in with the still connected to the head hairs - LOL - you know what i mean i'm sure.
i have combed out several people's dreads and it just takes a lot of time and patience and conditioner or coconut oil definitely helps.
just take it slow - you can always cut your hair if you don't like how it looks afterwards - but you may be able to save most of your length if you go slow and gently and comb from the BOTTOM
btw - i totally understand that you may feel like there are feelings and energy from the past 2 years trapped inside of them. when you feel this way you can also try soaking your dreads in a vinegar and water bath or salt water - both are purifying and salt water takes away negative energy and lets you start anew...

your never going to get them combed out.. you may stand a chance cutting about half length of them off and then tryin to comb them out.

ive seen your dreads, they look just like mine and there is no way i could comb mine out.. natural dreads aint dreaded the same as palm rolled ones..

id just cuttem.. to much fuckin work..

you could try cutting them about 2 or 3 inches from your scalp and see if ya can work them out from there..
its gonna be short no matter what but maybe that would work an ya could save a lil more hair.

but like i said,if i was gonna get rid of them id just cut them at the end and be done with it....
