I am on Methadone right now..so..using your powers of deduction, you should have come to the conclusion that I probably tried everything else..including NA, and AA. Which..obviously... Didnt work. I have been doing wonderful via the Methadone program. My life has done a complete fucking 360 for the positive. Oh..by the way...did you read my post at all? I have been in the Methadone program for 2 years, out of a 7 year opiate addiction. That would mean, once again, using your powers of deduction..or at least...2nd grade math...that my Heroin addiction spanned a cycle of about 5 years. 5..6...7! I want to add that going to an NA meeting will not achieve anything that a quick search via google could not achieve.
^ I did read your post and nowhere in your post does it mention the words heroin and/or opiate. Considering you were responding to a post about the ease of quitting heroin via methadone and you disagreed with him, it's only natural that I inferred you were continuing to use heroin while on methadone. Some use of 2nd grade English such as verbs, adjectives, and nouns could of made your post much more clear and less ambiguous. Regardless I'm happy for you that you turned your life around.
I have never tried heroin because I know it would quickly become my favorite drug ever...I think i'll stick with my roxi's and oxy's. I know they are really close to heroin chemically but at least i know exactly whats going in my body
as someone who was strongly addicted to heroin for 3 years, it is not worth the short high it gives you. It ruined my life for those 3 years and I still have some health problems from using it. I have been clean for 5 years! It isnt easy, and not everyoen can just quit it like it is easy peasy, it all depends on your genes, and your addictive personality. Some people are more prone to becoming addictive than others, who can try it once and not do it again. though I must say it is very rare to try it once and not do it again.
