well to be honest 80 to 90% of the military will never fire a shot in a act of war no matter what is going on..

that being said you will still be supporting a killing machine and there will always be the possibility you will come into harms way whether your MOS is combat related or not..

beyond that we are headed into a transition period in our own country(whether you choose to believe it or not),are you prepared to enforce(or act in a supporting role) martial law against your own people? are you prepared to go door to door confiscating guns in direct violation of the constitution just as they did in new orleans after katrina?
or worse rounding up people,in many cases against there will to take to FEMA camps "for there own protection"??(again,as was carried out in new orleans)

are you prepared to support law enforcement in actions against the american people, again in direct violation of the constitution just as took place in waco or as esruos eno bragged about in this thread?(yes the 10th amendment combined with The Posse Comitatus Act of 1868 prohibits the military from engaging in ANY action against the american people if it is not expressly written in the constitution or by a act of congress, even in support roles. not to mention the fact that IMO,in esruos eno's case the 4th amendment was also violated. )

you must ask yourself these questions and resolve yourself to the fact that you will have to live and possibly die with your decisions..

No one can make this choice for you,we can only hope to help you see all the implications of your decisions..

im not trying to influence your decision either way,i have a son soon to graduate AIT at fort leonardwood.

im just trying to make sure you can make an as informed decision as possible..
think about what your doing and the implications of your choice because once you sign on the dotted line you are owned by them and you become there puppet till its done..
remember "till its done" doesnt mean till your contract is up(note all the soldiers who had there discharge dates extended or called back up after discharge over the last few years),it means till they dont need you anymore.

i hope this post helps you in your decision,no matter what it may be.

Tok, i think what you are ooking for is more something, like a job that will take you over seas and present you with the traveling and order you want in your life. i understand that you want to get away from this crazy place, but also want to learn some order, but it soundsto me like you don't want to be part of this war. Maybe there is a job you can do, like Human researcher that will allow you to go over seas, be around nature and people. What ever you do decide make sure it comes from your own heart, and you take care of yourself. You are still young, there might be a greater opportunity coming your way.

ADon't do it man. You'd be putting your life on the line for someone else's beliefs (who in actuality doesn't give a shit about you). I suggest you travel and work small jobs going from place to place. This will improve your mental health and it will satisfy your desire to travel. Once you make enough cash, you can potentially travel over seas to places liek Austrailia and contiue your life long tour of the globe. Whatever you end up doing, I hope you all the best.

if you are collecting a check due to the fact that you are unable to work due to a disability, which as far as i know is the ONLY way to collect disability.

you are deemed "disabled"/"unable to work due to a disability", therefore the army can not take you without you being deemed no longer disabled by a doctor or doctors qualified to make that decision.

in the event that you are deemed no longer disabled, the military will still review your medical history and most likely deny you based on it. its not often that one gos from being disabled to fit for active duty overnight..

BTW. just what is your "disability" if you dont mind me asking?

In the context of what you were posting it appeared that you didn't like what HHB was telling you so you wanted someone else to respond. That was the basis of the comment. Hate what I have to say if you must but try to remain civil. Thank you.
