Hello, What are some things that you should feel bad about, but don't? Apparently, I made some girl cry back here back in the day. I should feel bad about it, but re-reading my comment to her makes me lol. It still wasn't very nice of me though. http://www.hipforums.com/newforums/showthread.php?t=376067 How about you?
Sometimes I Feel Bad About Not Giving BSR A Big:grouphug: Then A Few Seconds Later The Feeling Has Passed Me By.... Cheers Glen.
When a cop gets a bullet to the head, I couldn't care less. When a soldier gets his arms and legs blown off, I feel no sympathy. Those are just two that immediately comes to my head. Horrible, aren't I?
Honestly, it wasn't a joke. Let me make it clear that I wish no ill will upon anyone. However, I have a live by the sword, die by the sword attitude when it comes to people who blindly serve a corrupt system which I am more than just a little fed up with. Perhaps some more god-fearing, red-blooded Americans can send their little dummies off to some foreign land where they have no right being, only to be dismembered or maimed for life, and perhaps then enough people will realize there is nothing noble about fighting in wars which have nothing to do with the best interests of a country or its people.
I wont rant about things like "blindly serving a corrupt system" But I do agree with him in part. Why are we supposed to care more about cops or war heros, especially compared to kids or those in society less fortunate. Most guys join the army to travel or get gung ho, see some action, blow stuff up. Most guys join the force so they can one day shoot at bad guys or drive around the city fast. Some guy that gets blown up in Afghanistan whilst playing soldier gets more attention than some 2 yr old that gets beaten to death back home, but his parents were junkies so doesnt really matter he was going to end up junky anyway. That kind of thing. The world is kind of fucked up in that way
^ Shit happens.. I feel some sympathy because being in a situation like that would very much suck, but you know, what did you think was gonna happen? I've got my own shit to worry about, don't try guilt trip me because someone made a decision that ended up with their limbs turning into flying mince. There's quite a bit I "should" feel bad about, but don't. It's not that I don't care, I just think most people create drama in their lives for the sake of it.. the world's not all pretty, but that's exactly what makes it pretty for me. Every cloud has a silver lining and all that, because the sun is always shining.

Calling into work, using the excuse of bad weather. Everybody knows females are bad drivers. I have zero doubt I would make it into work, but here I am enjoying my long weekend early. Alone. Silence has never sounded so good.
I laugh really hard when people fall. Usually I'm the one falling so if its someone elses misfortune its even better.
A few years ago an acquaintance of mine was facing the realization that he would be deployed soon, and had a bit of a break down. He was wide eyed and kept saying: "I could get killed..." I mean...what the hell did you think you signed up for? I had a hard time generating sympathy. And this was the guy who had told me a few months earlier that he wishes he could be personally responsible for shooting every single person who tried to jump over the border.
The likelihood of getting killed in the armed forced can't possibly be that high, can it? What a pussy. He did voluntarily sign up. While the boarder guy... you sure meet some interesting people.
I've had friends that became marines, and they'd tell me about the people they killed. This one guy I'm thinking of, it seemed like he kinda liked it.
It was the same person. He dated a good friend of mine, and she could never understand why I didn't like him. I'm back and forth about what PR said concerning police officers dying. I feel bad for them as people, but I don't think the death of a cop should be mourned any more seriously than anyone else's death. Also, when someone murders a law enforcement official, why does everyone act like that person personally crucified Jesus? I quote George Carlin too much, but this one sums up my feelings on the matter, in short: " Listen. There are 200 countries in the world now. Do these people honestly think that God is sitting around picking out his favorites? Why would he do that? Why would God have a favorite country? And why would it be America out of all the countries? Because you have the most money? Because he likes our National Anthem? Maybe it's because he heard we have 18 delicious flavors of Classic Rice-A-Roni! It's delusional thinking! And America is not alone with this sort of delusions. Military cemeteries around the world are packed with brainwashed dead soldiers who were convinced God was on their side. America prays for God to destroy our enemies. Our enemies pray for God to destroy us. Somebody's gonna be disappointed. Somebody's wasting their fucking time. Could it be...everyone?"
Yeah, I never did get that one either. I guess, people tend to have some kind of mythical perception of the police force as protecting them against the lowly forms of humanity or something like that. The death of a cop is like the death of a surregate angel. These people are now prone to being raped and murdered by the vileness of human kind... or something like that. Police officers tend to be on the lower rung of society. Uneducared power trippers. I do not see anything to mourn. I'd rather mourn the death of a scientist or even a banker... someone who has done something with their lives.
Yes. Bankers help shape and move the economy. A lot of stupid people hate bankers. Those people are poor and stupid.
Trained killers thing....I kinda agree with preessed Rat here, too....but surely don't wish shit on people, either.
