My old computer teacher called me a pinko commie fag all the time... but he'd say "you know im jsut kidding right?" every now and then.. and he'd alwasy be like... I god there comin up again starting some bloddy revolution... you go out there and do some good okay!! and he'd grab me and shake me "your our only hope" with a really fierce look in his eyes... I was just like duuuuuude..... okay! and hitched hiked home.. and the old, !HIPPY! you smell like hemp!
yep age helps. I'm the woman with the long skirts and hair. I have been called a Pinko. I was proud, then offended. Be honest and call me a Commie, not a mere symp. (i'm neither) I get asked for drugs, but I think that's because of the wide variety of people in my circles.
always when im at sckool i get called faggot, dirty, stoner but i dont let it get me down i laugh lots of times because at my school everyone dresses in 50 cent hats and this like that
hmmm.. i have these sun glasses that make me look a bit psychadelic. these fools drove up to me and laughed in my face for a minute (i gave them peace and walked away) but come on.. part of being or embracing the hippie thing is that you dont care what people think of you- i LOVe those sunglasses and just now i'm starting to embark on a whole new great crazy fashion.. with the bright pink shawls and tie die and rainbow and just this new attitude i had my share of being called a stoner, hippie freak and tons of other immiture crap.. i think in the end everything is blunt though.. and choosing to be peaceful and living the life you want to is just a bit of a big step for too many. let them insult me? i'm not gonig to change
I have seen how the younger people react to younger hippies. It's sad, but it was the same way when I was a kid in the 60's and 70's. There were always some, usually your popular kids who would not dare step outside of the crowd and be different, and they didn't like those who were different. I still today am called an old hippy, but it's a badge worn with pride. The older ones are called "eccentric" lol. I love my spiritual freedom, it kinda makes me sad when I see how some people have bunched themselves up being so uptight and they are depressed. too bad. Carly
Well I've just been asked (more than once--by different people) If I had any pot. I think it's because of how I look. The dreads, the clothes. People ask me @ concerts, and at school, lol. And I don't even get high like that! Me notta pothead!
I've been called ( Treehugger, Hippy Freak, Crunchy, Stoner Kid, Pot Head, Lefty, Crack Head) and once when I was in high school I had a teacher pull me out of class and ask me if I was on drugs because thats when I began to wear more of the hippy look and stopped wearing makeup for a while.. She was not used to that! Come to think of it I think I was high that day... LOL O well........
Lots (well not lots but quite a few) people in school call me "hippie" as though it would insult me, does that count?
ive been called a sponger ,when actually i work damn hard for everything my family owns.............i regularly getb laughed at for the clothes i wear i just have learned to ignore but i think its a shame that we cannot express our selves with out having all this thrown at us
