Incidentally I'm moving to Asia in a month, I want to see more of the world and live overseas for a few years.; I like America, it has a lot of problems, and theres no problem criticizing those problems.

But women, the death penalty, lack of integrity? Those people are simply douche.

 

I think the only thing wrong about the American women comments are that it isn't just American women.

The western world is socially leaned towards women. This is just as bad as a problem as the world being professionally leaned towards men.

But I'm still going to hold the door for yins. =)

 

The fact that americans have been dumbed down so much that they'll believe any BS that's shoveled out=Obama's a muslim-He wasn't born here-blah,blah. Ergo=An ignorant populace is a compliant populace.

That this country is a corporatocracy and not a democracy. It's always about the money. Always.

That politicians and talk show pricks can lie legally. No repercussions.

That politicians can stay in office seemingly forever.

That the laws don't apply in the same manner to all. The money ,again.

That even with the history of the big cities burning in the 60s-70s, with people killed and many of our citizens still in abject poverty for generation after generation,there are still ghettoes of hopeless people with no way out. Columbia needs helicopters,everyone in the world needs our guns,ect.

That those on the right want to eliminate social security and remove the last shred of dignity from those who depend on it.

That we still are the "policeman" of the world and will not hesitate to destabilize ANY country's government that would dare to deny america's BIG Business ,with the collusion of our government's interests, from stealing their resources.

That we send our young off to die for the interests as stated above.

The divide and conquer axiom is now standard procedure for gaining power.

And last ,but not least, an old man can't even get a mercy fuck these days. Now that's just not right!

 

how easily people are swayed to a party line with a few easy keywords or predictable reactions to pushbutton issues. fucking annoying. either they're sickeningly holy on the left or sickeningly holy on the right. fucking a.

and religion as a political debate. wtf does religion have to do with government?

and people rudely accusing other people of all sorts of horrible character flaws because of one stance on one topic. but i've found that with people from everywhere.

people who bitch about how big the government is while still relying on it so heavily.

no personal accountability, and a readiness to blame an entire group of people for the badness of a few.

all that aside, i really like it here. i'm just pretty much of the opinion that most people are only able to deal with one thought process at a time and can't do the math on a complicated social equation involving intentions, rights, sensitivities, likely future outcomes and whether or not the person who disagrees with them is truly a troglodyte who likes to set fire to kittens and eats puppies.

 

I detest some of the policies of the government of the United States but I also detest some of my own government policies.

before anyone gets any ideas, i don't think the US is that bad of a place. i just feel rather trapped by where i live and the circumstances surrounding such...i don't particularly like feeling as though i'm not in control of things as much as i'd like.

I said "The women, for the most part". "Most part" could be any percentage. CHILL! I am NOT ignoring the American girls who are really cool, because there are some and I cherish them because for me, they are hard to find. But miss Knee jerk reaction (see below) does not seem to be one of them. Prove me wrong (VH2).

Anyways, pretty strong words (and baseless too) towards someone who is simply expressing their opinion based off of their own experience, which have all been shit. So I have a preference that is different than yours, so what? I have an awesome Chinese gf that is everything to me, so I am happy. I just don't prefer the average American girl, so shoot me. I get all of what you said for being honest? Plus a neg rep to boot?

1. I said "The women, for the most part". That means, there are some cool girls, but maybe you are in the "most part" category, with that kind of knee jerk reaction. That is another thing I don't like about America, Americans are so easily offended and are so quick to react in an emotional way before even thinking logically. Things are so much more chill here. Anyways, I went to HS and University in America, and most of the girls simply did not appeal to me on a mental level, and I had a decent sample size to form my opinion. So deal with it. I never said ALL. But don't insult me for my preferences.

2. Not to brag, but since you said it, if you saw my gf, you wouldn't say that. She has an amazing personality and is a strong lady who know how to treat people. Stop with the assumptions and chill out! Maybe smoke a bowl?

 

-I hate that the suburbs are filled with Mcdonalds, Burger King, Starbucks, etc. I also hate how these corporations are taking over cities as well. Capitalism in the form of small business is a grand idea. Capitalism in the form of powerful corporations that are tied up in even more powerful corporations that control many aspects of our government has to be one of the shittiest economic systems in existance. I hate it. I hate the monotony it creates. I hate the fact that its almost impossible to not work for the "man" in this day and age, unless you can make money following some creative pursuit. I hate the fact that the CEOs of these corporations make like 20 million dollar salaries and then turn around and give themselves 20 million dollar bonuses on top of that. I really, really, really hate it.

-I dislike the fact that many americans act like they're entitled to a comfortable living. We aren't entitled, we're just lucky. (We ARE lucky....for those who cannot find one positive aspect about living in America. There are a million things to be grateful for. I get pissed every day driving to work because the only scenery are those aforementioned corporations, but at least I'm not seeing bombs, dying soldiers, or starving children).

-The media targest idiots.

-Our political system is a joke. But as are most political systems across the world.

-Has anyone seen the movie idiocracy? Enough said.

However, I do like many things about this country. I love the rugged beauty, the national parks. I like the fact that this country is so generous. I hear many people make the argument that our infrastructure is broken, and we need to stop handing out money to third world countries when so many things are going wrong in this country. Maybe they have a point, but I really love america's generosity of spirit. I love it just as much as I hate our greed.

looool. well if we want to go down the personal experiences road, most of the chinese gf's i've met are controlling brats, and usually pussy whip their bf's/husbands. i've come to the conclusion that the men must like being whipped. so of course since my sample size of a dozen is really valid in a country of billions, i guess it's really cool that i'm posting it. don't hate.
