Hey hey! So I'm on a tolerance break. Approx like 12 hrs since I last smoked. Now historically I don't do tolerance breaks very well, I'm most enclined to get very upset in 8 hrs and go for my habitual smoke. But I really don't want to, so I need suggestions as to how other people do this and what to do? Now I assume a big part of it is to keep my mind occupied and not think about it? Well I'm only going for 5 days here, but I estimate it'll save me 20+ bong hits worth of green. My biggest fear is no sleep because I find it hard to sleep anyway, and I know I'm really bad trying to sleep when I haven't smoked. I can deal with that though, what I cannot deal with is my mood swings and bipolar coming out when I start to get anxious and panic about not smoking. Yes, while I have no physical hook ups other than the sleep, the green has a huge psychological hold on me. Normally I'd go on holidays for a few weeks or so and that'll be my tolerance break but I'm not going on holiday at the moment.. Not that if admit it anyway, seeing as we've got too many pouting jealous cock suckers in our community here. So suggestions?? This is what I have so far: Computer games My pool table Pool competition Going to the movies And I want to start my next reading book. But what do other do to pass the time and get your mind off things?? Spanks.
Well I've got like 3/4 of an ounce left but I won't be getting any for a couple of months and I can blow out my ounce in less than a month, so yeah I guess it's like running out or just cutting back so I don't smoke as much. Right now I'm pushing 2 bong hits a session which increased to 3 then 4 over the weekend. So I need to get off it to save what I have left, then I'll go back down to one hits probably by the weekend and if not at least I've saved a lot then just need to T-Break again during the next week. I've got just a little bit left ground up but it's not much and I done that on purpose that when I see it, I'll get angry because there's so little and then I'll have to grind which I hate doing so it'll stop me. I also always smoke before a shower so just jumping in and getting that done will help.
You'd have flipped your wig if you seen my stash late last year then. I had like 4oz. had a lot of fun though. Now it's time for the fog to diminish a little.
I've decided to lay off it for a while too. I have some issues with anxiety and OCD so I've started doing some art projects. I've never been great at drawing or painting but I have been collecting flowers and rocks and stuff and gluing pallet boards together and making nature collages. It is more satisfying than cleaning which is normally what I do when the anxiety kicks in.
Well my first sleep was absolutely appalling. I tried two different mixtures of supplement recovery drinks to help sleep and although I felt really tired from them, I just laid there wide awake. it's been a day and a half now and I'm kinda sitting here itching to take a smoke. >.>
Yeeep. Back to the drawing board. Gotta start over all again!! But, I'll feel good about it... for the next 3 hours.
I find having a cup of chamomile tea about an hour before bed, helps me sleep. In regards to distracting yourself, you could try getting out of the house. Go see a movie, browse a bookstore, go to a coffee shop for tea in the evening and read your book or people watch. You've got to try and break a habit, so to speak. Do you have a Wii or Xbox? You could download a dance game and play that for a few hours. It definitely won't make you want to smoke, because you'll be dancing and moving around a lot, and it's also great exercise.
I only smoke really like in the last 6 hours before bed, so I don't want to be out doing much at that stage, but we do go to the movies often enough, and out for coffee. It's just a habitual thing I have with me..
