Actually I'm surprised that these things were only twenty years ago. But that's probably because I transitioned from child to adult in that time, so it seems longer.

The movie even references the state of Pennsylvania stating “ If the China Syndrome occurred It would render a state the size of Pennsylvania permanently uninhabitable”
