Hurrah for you If everybody thought like you Greenpeace would bore themselves to death. There is so much talk about CO2 and cutting down on fossil fuels, but nobody mentions that it is not only the responsability of the big companies but it is everybody's responsability. There are so many things we can do ourselves. E.g. investigate how sewer water is cleaned locally. Should we use soap with phosphates or zeolites when washing our clothes? Turn off the light. Walk or take the bike instead of driving a car if it is not too far away. In my oppinion starting with yourself has a lot more to do with being green rather than occupying a nuclear plant and then go home to take a hot and very long bath.
Amen to that. When my wife & I first started dating, she threw away all of the cans(we're both heavy drinkers),I said screw that.the first load was over $100 worth. We dont have a facility around here to recycle paper or plastic,so we're screwed there.we burn our paper trash so it's not going into the lanfill,& saving trash bags. The one thing that peeves me tho,is both of my step-sons constantly leave on the lights,tv's,game systems,etc..I'm all the time coming behind them turning shit off when they're done. It's nothing for me to wake up to 3 tv's on,every light in the house on,& everybody is asleep.I wanna jump their asses so bad,but my ol' lady lets it slide,& I aint tryin to cause no rifts in the household.I try to lead by example, but that don't always work.
did you steal this off of canada's energy guide website?! know what my pet peeves are? shitty spelling
I don't think you can really waste water :S like..it doesn't go anywhere... you know? if you use biodegradeable soaps...then you are just moving the water around, lol! you move it from the lake, to the cleaning place, tomy tap, to my tub, then back to the cleaning place, and then back to the lake like...its not getting lost?
Perhaps you have a point. The distribution of dirty water is the finite thing. It is in this way that the unsustainable development confronts the Local International dilemma of converting dirty water to clean water as somewhat demanding that "WE ACCOMPLISH PEACE" for the World.
