Your forefathers effectively literally killed your own family, who were sent there only to help protect you. Yet us Brits have always stood by you no matter what - always.
But you know, oh well - "no taxation without representation".
Just think if the US/colonies stayed part of the UK, both WW1 and WW2 would've never happened. We'd now be in outer space investing and learning how to survive in our solar system.
But nooooo... Americans wanted to become their own country, ultimately Hillary or Trump...

Well that's also a little wrong too because the Americans only ever made it to space because of the engineering of the German arms factories and weapons makers in WW2. The American space program was essentially entirely German thanks to Operation paperclip. So no, if we didn't have WW1 and WW2 we would most likely not be in space yet lol.

Is this how I come across to you people? =/
Cause I can see how that would be annoying.

If everything had gone exactly right we could have been in space as early as 600 A.D. And it wouldn't have been the Americans, British or Germans, it would have been the Greeks.

That’s quite a speculation and limited view of the War, particularly since such speculation doesn’t take into account a literal infinite number of variables of how world history might have played out. I suggest reading Churchill’s History of the English Speaking People’s where he, and virtually every historian since, declared separation as “inevitable” and the Crown’s intransigence pure folly.

Is there something on topic you wanted to bring up? Like, what makes you mad?

Damn, it’s like reading a 1776 London newspaper. :tearsofjoy:

Greeks really? the Romans paved our civilisation.
Well by that knowledge, Islam would now be... errr, "right wing!!" can't be talking freely about that can we these days?!
Yet, "on topic"? well, no. Current political correctness on the interwebs ensures that only one politically motivated frame of mind stays in effect.

The Roman Empire was on the decline and Greece was the country that was closest to understanding the scientific method. However, Christianity happened (burning the library at Alexandria, for example) and the Pythagoreans in Greece essentially killed science in its infancy, combining superstition with natural law and downplaying the need for experimentation. If events had happened differently we'd be living in a very different world.

How did the Greeks propose blasting off from the earth when gunpowder wasn't even invented until 700AD? It still took roughly 200 years for weapons to become rocket like projectile at 904AD.

  13. I hear you.
This has apparently been the coldest day this winter, and I've been freezing all day. Nothing helps lol. I've become very sensitive to the cold.
    Winter can die dead already.

Really, any educated person of any kind would agree that their own religion is a fake.

When there is no opposition to this blatant fact then and only then can humanity begin to be fair for all. But that just isn't going to happen for as long as "freedom of religion" is welcomed in our world. - Religion is not peace, in any way shape or form. Its literally that simple.

Winter loses it's charm quickly after New Years for me. I agree about not being able to warm up--I have that feeling perpetually from December to April. Also, the weak sunshine and long boughts of darkness make me feel so...blah.

    I'm ready for spring.
The thing that gets most tedious to me about winter is having to dress in winter clothes. It becomes a chore after a while. I'm not a huge fan of heat but I do like how in the summer you can just throw on a sundress or a pair of shorts and sandals and you're good to go. It's so much easier than winter layering

  18. It gets dark already at 16h, and I'm done with life then.

Just like any other typical greek mythology? Humans believe whatever that's put in front of their eyes.

That too. Layers are a pain.

Even in my house I need to dress in 2 pairs of pants, 2 shirts, and socks, and slippers.
