this is literally the worst. you'd think technology would have some sort of answer to it but nope, nothing.

Ermm. You can buy a blue film strip to put on the top of your windshield and you know those things that flip down? They're no airline table. You can use them to block out the sun too.

I've found the flip down things only effective when the sun is off to the sides. When it's straight on, it doesn't really do much except lessen the scope of visibility.

I've noticed there's two ways to use them depending on the angle. Now having it straight up and down is pointless for most as they can't see through it, but I have found that tilted forward or backward creates drastic results because of the glare off the shield itself.

Crowded intersections and highways are not my preferred times to experiment with geometry.

they help some, but not in every situation and never completely.

the worst is at a stoplight, when the sun is directly behind the light. there is absolutely no way of knowing what color the light is, just have to hope for the correct guess.

That describes my eyesite at night with the light flares. I can't drive at night, too dangerous, I can't see past light I'll have no clue if someone is walking in front of me. Actualky distant light is worse, a light 5km in the mountains might actually flare my vision so I'm unable to see 10yards in front of me.

Corneal transplants for the win.. Not..

This is a loose picture of how my vision perceives light in the dark. Actually, it is like this in light too only I can see passed it. Now my vision burst is slightly different to this, it's not exactly a star for me and the points of it are made by the same image being ghosted hundreds of time until they for distinct burst patterns. Because of my eye surgery, my bursts appear horizontal left, straight down and the 2o clock position in my right eyes whereas my left halos around the whole object.

This photo is more akin to how I see light at night. You have the full halo but you also have the bursting lines and edges shooting in direction from the light source itself.
This is how I see walking down the street at night.

Worse on Mdma more glare. That's just how I see naturally now after both of my eye surgeries. That is with prescriptive contacts.

they make these neat little lenses that are attached to frames and use your nose and ears to support them right in front of your eyes

some of them even change brightness and eliminate glare
