Yes but where do you get money to live and play more when you work less Totally hypothetical question, not trying to be nosy about anyone's specific financial situation
I'm glad I can still sometimes say I'm glad. If this world went down the toilet any faster happiness would the last thing on anyone's mind.
Takes years and Planning Unless you are born lucky (some are )!! I started with fuck all, and am working my way (with help from my kids ) to having Fuck all again one day Oh and Hard work helps !!
There's a guy I like called Mark Rowlands. In his book "Running with the pack" he makes a sound philosophical argument for the concept that play is more valuable than work. @Meliai in answer to your question.. it's not easy or even possible for everyone, but society could be reorganized and revolutionized so that everyone felt they had that lifestyle.
Yeah, this I agree with 100%. Society could be so much more than what it is and with the technology available it is entirely within the realm of possibility. But I think a lot of people are so resigned to the system we have now they can't really imagine what we could have In regards to the current situation...I've thought a lot about what I could do to work less and play more and still be able to afford it and..I dunno. The basic cost of living is so high right now, and areas where it isn't as high are kinda depressed and I wouldn't want to live there. And that's just the basic cost of living, not factoring in travel which is essential. So I guess my current 40 hour work week and current life will have to do for now because it allows me to live and travel on occasion
yeah, forget the hypothetical bullshit. i need ideas. on the plus side, a lot of my work could be considered play, so that's my input. of course, work like that doesn't pay enough to play when you're not at work.
