Syria is as bad as it gets, and even republicans have hearts, especially when it involves innocent women and children. It already makes the south Bronx and war torn Libya look like a cake walk. It is so bad, I really don't want to see picture or video, and its been that way now for years.

Yeah I know. It's awful - and due in at leeast part to the US's role in creating instability in the region with the Iraq War.
Generally the Middle East seems to be worse off the more the US meddles in their affairs.

Of course, I know the situation in Syria is complex and a sudden withdraw of US troops would not be good.
But I very seriously doubt that the motives of Republican congressmen are pure.

The middle east has been a disaster for over a century, but technology is finally catching up and oil shouldn't be such a huge problem for long. Islam just doesn't seem all that competitive in the modern capitalist world due to it promoting fundamentalism even more than Christianity does, but the modern capitalist world is about to change radically with the introduction of a theory of everything.

well, I'm always biased when it comes to that.

My dad used to work as a defense contractor. Before I was born he was in the army. So was my grandpa. I didn't suit up because of a criminal record.

But beyond that, I think that it's a little bit of a good thing that our military can help our allies. I don't know where to draw the line when it comes to that sort of help though. We sure can't afford to fix everything.

They already exist, but if you can make them cheaper and easier to install that's great!

furrys, demonstrating the ability of people to realize that humans of earth aren't the alpha and omega of why the rest of the universe exists,
crispr, for a number of reasons, may make really furrys possible some day, proves no such thing as aborigeional 'whites', and many more,
though of course also poses some risk motivated by the military minded,
and a return to space when it is no longer being mostly motivated by a competition to prove military superiority.

In a other thread I learned that some barefeet people will stand in a puddle of someone else's urine in a public toilet to take a piss. Hope for the future? Webbed feet like ducks or some shit or flippers, lol.

i don't exactly think the water really notices very much, or is even a whole lot of impressed.
sure the sword passes through, but where the sword has passed, the water remains.
