For instance...No Doubt...I remember listening to the band again in 2005 or so and it really sucked.

I'm going to listen to DMB soon and I wonder if it will suck.

Also lots of kids shows I used to love really suck now that I'm an adult, but some are still good.

Are you talking about things that you used to enjoy but as you got older and went back to listen or watch you realized they weren't good? Or are you talking about how the certain bands or shows have evolved to what they are now?

In my opinion No Doubt went out with the 90's. I saw them open for Bush in about 95 or 96. That's when they were still good. Gwen became glam and it all went downhill.

I've stated my opinion on DMB. I won't state it again.

I agree, No Doubt was much better when they first came out. Sad, the way that happens. I guess good (older) bands, feel the need to keep up with the times, so they change their shit, not realizing that it for sure sounds like shit lol.

    Technology in general.

My parents' stereo from the 1970s still works and sounds fantastic. The stove they bought around the same time was still functional until they replaced it just because.

All of the new stuff breaks down within a few years.

I listened to Marilyn Manson the other day. I used to loooove manson. Now, not so much, at least musically. I do think Manson was a bit of a genius when it came to stage show and performance, plus he's just a smart guy in general. His music hasn't really aged that well to me though.

im taking this thread, as things that got crappy over time, because they changed.

that said,,, south park has def went downhill over the last lil while, guess they finally did all they really could, and the creators are rich as hell, and it doesn't matter I guess.

sitcoms, they all suck now, seinfeld was the best ever,, then... poop

and definitely history channel, discovery channel and the like, used to post stuff that their name implied,, now it's all redneck bullshit. and what about mtv?? beavis and butthead turned into,,, jersey shore?? give me a break

Haha, I still listen to no doubt.

I can't really think of anything that's not as good as it used to be, I've been weirdly optimistic lately. I would say dating and sex but I'm hoping I just haven't met the right person lately.

I was thinking, more in line with things you used to be into that aren't good anymore. Like I was listening to the second No Doubt album and I was like yeah...there's only 3 songs that are decent, when years ago I thought the album was a non-skippable album.

But bands and other things that have changed qualified too.

The game Don't Break The Ice. When I had it as a child it was made with real wood blocks. The one my niece and nephew had was just cheap plastic.

yeah I figured this is what you mean. Peoples' tastes change as they mature.

I mentioned my punk rock stage in the other thread about music you haven't listened to in a long time...can't really stand it anymore

old 90s sitcoms are like this too. I used to live for TGIF Friday but try watching Family Matters or Boy Meets World now and its too cheesy to be tolerable.

Right. I used to watch tgif too. The only ones worth watching now are full house and Cosby show for the extreme nostalgia.

    Potato scallops.
I used to be able to order 3 and get a couple extra for free. Now I order 3 and I get 3 really small, over cooked things.

True it has progressed, or maybe you were just younger and more impressed by simple things earlier today. ;)
