I think my gas boiler is going to be something like £1000 - £1500 - going to make a large dent in my finances.

Yeah that's expensive but about right for a boiler.
Definitely tops my bill of around £300.

Skunks annoy me. Last night I had my neighbors over for a few beers and a cook out. Apollo chased a skunk under my truck. Skunk sprayed, missed Apollo, but sprayed the underside of the truck. Maybe Apollo learned his lesson the last time he got sprayed point blank in the face?? Then it crawled into the crawlspace under the sun room. I could see his beady little eyes glowing in the dark. I haven't looked yet this morning but I HOPE once the partying ended it left on its own.

I remember many years ago I was seeing this woman and she had a little girl, they didn't have much and to be honest were having a rough time of it, we tidied the back garden at her house so the little one could play in it and I bought a bbq, so we could give her a treat. The little one was looking forward all week to Friday and the bbq, she'd never had one before. the weather was fantastic all week, warm and sunny, then Friday came and I lit the bbq, wouldn't you know it, it started to piss down! Thunder and lightening everywhere, it was mental, this little kid was so upset over it all, she really wanted a bbq. Anyway me being me I stood out in it, in the middle of the open garden, in the rain cooking the food, she thought it was so funny, I looked at her laughing, then up at the sky as the lightning flashed, "I'll never forget this" she said, all smiles, there was a massive flash followed by a huge bang, the storm was right overhead now. "hmm, and if I get struck by lightening it will certainly be something you'll remember" I though to myself.

I had one once that got infected and I had to take an antibiotic. Next day it erupted....frucking thing was huge! About a 2" splinter in my wrist. Gave me a feeling of accomplishment when it happened.

Seat spring in work truck broke and cut the hell out my leg when getting in.
I spent about the half-hour on it with bolt cutters utility knife and duct tape to make it safe again..
