They say this in the bible? I do not remember this part.

I believe this is what hypocrites tell themselves to ease their mind. If you were as Christian as you believe and say you are, you wouldn't have sinned in the first place.

I sure must be dense then, cuz I see a huge fucking mystery.

shit, and that is after reading countless texts, etc.

I guess he would have been pretty dumb, yeah, and I can assume that you are saying then that he most definitely was not that dumb, which is a good bet I'd say, you wouldn't think the omniscient, allpowerful creator of the universe would fuck up. I can feel bits and pieces of what you're saying.

I believe in the new covenant, and lately I have been wondering if I should at least open myself to reading islam and mormanism to see If I believe these two are actually prophets. I had a lot of morman friends in Riverside California, though, I think I will not find anything there. But was mohommads intent what it became?

seams to me, the Ba'hais got it closest to right anyway, God spoke to many people, and they ALL interpretted it differently. but the essential message is is the same. DOGMA changes.

no it doesn't say it in the bible and i haven't made such a claim. the jewish culture isn't only described in the bible.

right, so you say if i sin i'm a hypocrite? if i didn't sin i wouldn't need the new covenant.

god does what he pleases. and no he doesn't torture us and make our life miserable. people blame god for their own mistakes and mistakes of others. god may love us but he also respects our choice (even those who do not want him in his life, and then moan at god for all the bad things that happen to them).
and no, god does not send any person to hell. people send themselves.

I don't think so... he believed god had spoken to him and told him to gather people and run off and make the "true" religion... I don't think anything about jihads was mentioned until after they were attacked first. I could be wrong tho, I haven't studied Islam for years...

I'm just saying, that what you said up there, I believe that is what people tell themselves so they will achieve peace of mind. They believe they can do whatever they want, and as long as they pray for forgiveness, they will be okay.
    cough *bullshit* cough cough.

    And you know this how?
So if I wanted to send myself to heaven right now, I could go?

but if god spoke to him, then this must be what god wanted, jihad, just as god wanted preists that are pedophiles and the crystal cathedral having a 200 milion dollar hospitality center for big tippers, er , tithers.....

best thing I have read in days, made me laugh.

I think I like the 'turn or burn' school of thought. I'll just whoop it up like a total nihilist, then at the last second when I am at the pearly gates, I'll be forgiven, cuz I'll turn, or burn, which of course, no one will choose cough cough

Erm..we were just talking about that...he refers to other 'g-ds' as Elohim...perhaps you should read the full thread, if you haven't already..he most certainly wouldn't have said what you said..the different names for g-d have different meanings and different interpretations, in the bible they're all just 'g-d'. Learn hebrew, or some of the words. Read the torah. All christians should do it, not just interpret interpretations and be satisfied. I'm so shocked to think that there are literalists out there, they have no understanding of what was before...anyway, read this http://www.jewfaq.org/name.htm it's on the names of g-d.

my take on the original def. of jihad was an internal struggle to fight of ones own demons. that was what a Muslim I met long ago told me.

I didnt read the whole thread, and I think I can get the gist of what God needs me to hear from what the world I live in throws at me, BUT, I am confident that free will offers corruptible men the same opportunity to try and fool me, even hebrew speaking tellers of tales from several thousand years ago. I know the spirit that guides me, even if I stray...too much. I have no illusions. But it seems many people have no free will. Belive, dont think.

If you're not going to read the thread or think about the issues we're discussing, I think you should believe, and not type.
