Thing I Heard About Why There Are No Tomatoes on The Big Mac

I heard a few months back that the reason there are no tomatoes on McDonald's Big Mac is because at the time the ingredients were decided upon there were not enough tomatoes in the entire world to fit all the orders that were to expected to be ordered.

(As an after thought I apologize if I posted this is the wrong forum... I looked for one that specified in food but couldn't find it.)

 

I dont think tomatoes belong on burgers, nor lettuce or mayo for that matter


Big mac would never have been as popular if it had started out with tomatoes

You have Big Boys there, you ever been? Big Mac was originally designed to compete with Big Boy burgers, their main competition at the time

But since Ghostbusters, havent seen heard any reference/ mention to Big Boy Burgers anywhere

I don't think MacDonalds really have "burgers" they have just a shit version. Like, a bit of meat pattie, some plastic cheese and a gherkin. Fuck that shit.

A Hamburger to me is a good pattie, lettuce, cheese, red onion, beetroot, bbq sauce and as always, pineapple with real cheese. That's a burger.

 

It exists merely to enrage me, as does celery.

Oh yeah same, but also cabbage too, and you gotta go cabbage at asian places and kim chi.
Like, I hate white onion, but I also don't like red onion but mixed in with all the flavors it's like actually quite awesome.

Don't get me wrong, I been known to slam a few quaterpounders and cheesebugers in my time, but they aren't what I'd consider a traditional burger.

And none of this calling a burger a sandwich. If you're using a round roll it's not a sandwich. I don't get places that do this. Like it's just not a sandwich. I'f I'm ordering a sandwich then I need square bread derrh.
