Yo mama's so fat that the gynecologist has to use ultrasound to find her pussy. She's so fat that last Christmas, Black Santa rejected her, saying "Damn, dat bitch be too fat for me, mon."
I was listening to the radio last week and heard about new research that seems to be support the theory that long-term sustained weight loss is simply not feasible for most people. That weight is largely genetic and some people are simply predisposed to being obese. Reminded me that I made this thread. After a massive weight loss, your body essentially fights to put that weight back on. Metabolism gets sluggish, appetite goes up. This study is the most recent in a string of them with similar findings. http://www.npr.org/sections/thesalt/2016/05/02/476498729/biggest-loser-lessons-why-the-body-makes-it-hard-to-keep-pounds-off Seems like some of these other researchers are concluding that weight has a "set point", where your body will naturally want to return if you gain or lose a significant amount of weight. If this turns out to be true, I wonder how or if it will change the attitude's of society when it comes to obese people.
It sounds like a bunch of feminist bs to me. Sure, it's not some people's fault they are overweight, but most the time, something can be done about it. Also, it does cause health problems, just not all the time. Also, if someone refuses to treat someone because of their weight, they are a bad doctor, and something should be done about them. Unless, of course, your weight makes a treatment difficult and/or unsafe.
I think the whole genetic thing is BS. I mean, genetics do play a role in weight gain/loss, but you still have to eat more than you burn to become obese. You're not going to put on weight just from breathing air. You rarely saw many fat people just 30 years ago, so it seems odd to think genetics just suddenly started playing a role for so many people struggling with their weight. The whole genetic thing seems like just another excuse for fat people to have an excuse for why they can't lose weight.
Personally, I am so over people coining something that is wrong with this world. I know it explains things in a easier and 'more hip' fashion, but really... "Thin Privilage"? Come on, now. It's a problem that has been going on for quite some time. It's not something some blogger made up one day, and decided to call "Thin Privilage". But, at the same time if someone doesn't point it out, using a fancy term like that, then no one will see the problem, or even cares. Becuase these problems are very well hidden and discreet. It's almost like you are making up a problem that really isn't a problem, but really is, people just know how to hide it well. It's amazing that one blogger saw the problem. And I'm sure a lot of people saw this problem, but just didn't know how to explain it. So, coining it also makes it easier to explain. All in all, I get the point of coining something. I just don't like it. I don't know. Anyways, to the actual topic... I think this is problem with our ideologies that we have for people who are socially good looking and socially not good looking. We have these predispositions, therefore we treat someone better or worse, just solely on their looks. People have treated me like shit and beyond, just becuase of the way I look. And I'm sure in a institutionalized way it has also held me back. But, I can't prove it. No one can prove it. It just sounds like someone that is bitter and negative about life and people. Again, it sounds like someone made it up. But, if you're fat or ugly in any way by societal standards, you know you have experienced it. So, it does exist. It just is well hidden. All you can do is as a socially beautiful or ugly person is recognize the problem, and don't add to it.
People do judge on physical appearance before anything else. They do it subconsciously, when they do not yet know anything else about you, they look at your face and that shapes their whole impression of you as a person based on aesthetic appearance.
Fat people smell, they sweat too much, they tend to break furniture, they have no will power, they’re lazy, slow, dumb, every profile picture looks like Alfred Hitchcock Presents, they have low self-esteem, no one wants to sit next to them on the subway, train, bus, or plane, you don’t want to get behind them in-line at the grocery store because their cart is always overflowing, residual food found at the corner of their mouths, they have difficulty navigating revolving doors and turnstiles and occasionally get stuck, fat people tend to wear shorts to prevent inner-thigh chafing, people generally fear for their lives when one or more of them enters the elevator, and lastly when they eat they just look depraved as if they haven’t had a meal in like what 5 minutes Hotwater
When we were flying from Texas to Denver I got stuck next to a burley bloke. The water and peanuts weren't enough for him over the what, 90minute flight? He went through a god damn menu only to be told they won't cook anything for him on that shirt flight so he chose a fruit box. I wanted to tell him, look, you don't need this right now. You don't need to eat on this flight. I was crammed between two people in the middle. And yeah I just thought to myself, you can't be this hungry right? Like is it just me? Or, what? Why do you need such a big meal right now. The fruit box was not real fruit, it was all manufacturer in packaging. So naturally all it meant was it contained high sugar contents. Just like, no dude. You sit there and drink your water, please.
Arrrrgh, this thread. What we really should ask is, beyond a healthcare prospective, why do people care about if people are overweight? People have their own reasons. If it doesnt concern you, let it fly. In my world, what someone weighs means nothing.
Beyond the reasons I described ……………….they’re non-conformists and their repulsive nature damages our sense and sensibilities. They destroy established norms through their depravity and gluttony Hotwater
"The term Nonconformist, or non-conformist, referred generally to any Protestant Christian who did not "conform" to the governance and usages of the established Church of England."
True that was the origin of the term but now it's used much more widely. My dad used to call me a non-conformist because I deviated from his idea of the proper dress code for instance. Then again, he was a catholic...
