Son #1 lives in the south hills of Eugene. Last night someone parked a small truck-according to the tracks left in the mud--snuck up the driveway and stole his motorcycle from an enclosed shed. One never expects to get ripped off, but thieves are abundant. He put pictures Craigs list and someplace else. Might work. His ex had a car stolen in Portland, she put up a notice on some site, somebody spotted it and she got it back. Might have been Facebook.
Shitty deal. Hope he gets it back in one piece. I live on a street with a lot of pedestrian traffic, and property crime is very high in my area. I often worry someone will swipe stuff out of my front yard. I have an Arlo camera that is very finicky. Haven't had any issues with theft from this property; hopefully I'll never have to.
Its the economy. In good times, homicides go up, in bad, theft. Sometimes success doth breed contempt.
Yeah that's tough. In this part of the country the opioid crisis in completely out of control and the afflicted are becoming increasingly more desperate and more brazen. They’ll steal a hubcap off of a police cruiser in order to support their habit
Don't worry about me--concern yourself with you. Neighbors found it while they were taking a walk--stashed in some bushes down the road from his house. So, that ended better than expected.
