What surprises does she have for us today?

Some of the speculation is both worrying, funny and serious!

But let's see..Ten minutes to go!

She's probably thinking she can increase her majority given that Labour are in disarray and low in the polls.

I hope it all goes wrong for her, but I suspect we'll just get yet another 5 years of the tories. The only issue I can see upsetting her apple cart is the NHS. But the right wing press will be doing everything possible to trash the opposition.
Maybe Labour should be saying that they'll abandon this Brexit nonsense before it's too late, make this into a second referendum - I doubt they will do that. Very likely many Labour MPs will be loosing their nice cushy little jobs.

    It's all too predictable.

This is great news, but perhaps not good news for Scottish indyref aspirations?

The SNP will take all the seats again leaving Labour short of seats and all the UKIP voters will migrate back to the tories.

    So maybe not great news.

I don't think this is about Brexit, it's about the tory's election fraud scandal that isn't going to go away, unless...

Now if May saw fit to ban all coldplay and Pink floyd cds/dowloads, i might even rank her ahead of Thatcher

What about the centrist press? The centre never gets any ink in the UK. Labour will be destroyed in this election. What would be even better would be physical expressions of public rage against the rail and allied workers. Just because the best and the brightest Brits have emigrated in countless millions since 1945 doesn't mean that the residue should be enslaved by unionised yobs

This isn't necessarily bad news for indyref supporters. If the SNP win big again, and that seems likely, that could strengthen Sturgeon's case for a vote, especially as if May wins it'll probably mean some form of ignominious hard Brexit.

But in the bigger picture, the whole Brexit thing may become somewhat limp if the French elect the far right, as that will mean the end of the EU as it has been anyway. It would probably become a German led and German dominated northern European alliance that would in turn dominate Europe.

The tories can then turn this into a tax haven for the ultra-rich and something resembling 19th century social conditions for the rest.

I think you are right. I also think we've reached a stage where corruption is so endemic that it doesn't matter what anyone votes for. The tories are the bastard childs of centuries of patriarchy and oppression, and they will get back in no matter what. They've never been out. New Labour circa 97-10 were red tory Blairite scum. They planned it all while John Major was in power, and it worked spectacularly.

I might consider lending my vote to the SNP this time just to ensure that at least Scotland has a chance of getting out of it. I'm a long way short of being 100% happy with the SNP but they are more for the working the class people than Labour are right now, even under Corbyn.
