BS. Now you're just repeating the propaganda put out by the globalists. Anytime you hear the word "sustainable," that should trigger alarm bells in your head. There is not a shread of truth to what you said. Take a trip across the US and you will see huge swaths of untouched land. You will see far more uninhabited land than you will inhabited land.

You should ask yourself who is putting out this information before you decide to just go along with it.

When you say we're consuming resources at an unsustainable rate, well that is rhetoric coming directly from the playbook of global elitists like Al Gore, Ted Turner, and Maurice Strong. People like Ted Turner recently have said that most of us will be dead in the next 50 years, and that many of those remaining will resort to cannibalism. This is coming from an elitist who sits high up in the UN, who owns huge sections of land in the US and is buying up all the rights to water supplies. It was Ted Turned who said that a 95% reduction of the world's population would be favorable and has openly praised Mao for China's one-child policies. Most of the money Turner has donated to the UN has went to programs seeking to stall population growth through sterilization and other means.

These people are eugenicists. They don't care about the environment, they just want it all to themselves. Sustainability is simply the code word for socialism and population reduction.

Just because the land is uninhabited doesn't mean that it is useful or available to be used by people. I will admit that I haven't traveled enough to see what's out there, but it isn't possible for me to do so right now. When I gain independence the first the I plan on doing is seeing what is out there.

What kind of uninhabited land are you talking about? The only land that is really useful to us is either along side of rivers or large plains. From what I have seen, the majority of all coastlines and river bank are populated and/or farmed. While there are plenty of grasslands still out there, it doesn't mean they are there for our use.

Are you saying that it is acceptable to have 6.5 billion people alive on this planet with billions more coming in the next two decades? People aren't meant to live cooped up in massive concrete expanses with houses two feet from the one next to it. People lose their humanity in an environment like this.

People need to be able to escape from others but we can't anymore. I can't think of anywhere near here where you can go and not hear engines roaring in the distance or see a plane flying overhead or find plastic bottles and rusted car frames amongst the undergrowth in the woods.

A majority of mankind relies on the ocean for food, but isn't it true that the world's fisheries are massively depleted from where they were even fifty years ago?

Well, if you read Agenda 21, you will see the globalist plan is to herd everyone into the overcrowded cities, while the area outside of these cities will be off limits to the public. This will be done under the guise of sustainability and "preserving" the environment. I agree people aren't meant to live cooped up, but there is plenty of land outside of the cities that is suitable for living. Most of the population in the US is concentrated to the coastal areas and the Northeast. Most people choose to live in the crowded cities where they are in close proximity to others because of convenience.

I can think of lots of places.

Yeah I'm stuck smack dab in the middle of the world's largest metropolis unfortunately so I get reminded of civilization every second of the day. What is this Agenda 21? It seems to me that the places outside the suburbs are basically off limits already.

In my generation it is very 'uncool' to be in uninhabited areas. Camping, road trips, and exploration on foot is just generally considered stupid. My social activities usually consist of me bringing my friends out to places I know out in the few woods in my area to have a good time. If you stay in town you pretty much have to spend money when you want to have fun.

You live in New York, and this state has much more uninhabited areas than mine. I would love to see skies free of jet exhaust and nights free of glowing horizons.

Absolutely it is. You must understand there is a difference between individual liberties and "human rights." Human rights are granted by the state, and thus they can also be taken away.

That is almost exactly how the future Earth is in Isaac Asimov's science-fiction robot series, specifically the books, "The Caves of Steel" from 1953 and "The Naked Sun" from 1956, with the exception that going outside is just culturally/psychologically looked down on, rather then illegal or physically prevented.
