Who gets alimony in this day and age? That is for ex-wives of the rich and famous. The rest of us don't have that much money.

 

well, it does make it more difficult to break up and leave, which is good if you have kids, since there's an incentive to maybe work it out and not just bust up the home.

Alot of people get married at the end of the year,to get some reward in the form of a tax write-off from the government....which sounds really dumb to me
