Well, it is lying but it does work and it will get you off the phone immediately... 1. say in a loud voice,..."I'll be right with you", like your talking to someone else in the room, right as the other person is blabbing, it sounds like some one is calling you and the person your on the phone with, will let you go immediatly. 2.Say "Damn I just spilled my drink all over me, gotta go before it stains".... Or if your outside or someplace and you run into someone you want to get away from..."Man, I gotta piss, see ya later, sorry"....they'll let you go without another word. These have got me out of sticky situations when I didn't want to hurt someone's feelings and it was hard to get away from them. When I worked in the Pharmacy I had alot of older people that would just talk and talk on the phone and I hated to be brusk with them so I did this quite a bit...the #1 above. Larry and I also have a thing worked out when a neighbor of ours stops by...he is usually very drunk and its usually on Friday when Larry has just gotten home...When the guy pulls up, Larry goes out and talks for 10 min. after that I go to the door and yell out that dinner is ready or he has a long distance call...works everytime. teepi
lol@youandlarry... reminds me of that fleetwood mac song...tell me lies tell me sweet little lies.......
Yeah I don't like lying..but I don't like the feeling I get when some one goes on and on and I start to fantasize about things I would like to stick in their mouth. And I try not to alienate my neighbors....I'm alone here all week and need to get along with them. And well, the work thing, can't be rude to the customers now...
