Intersexed, or hermaphroditism, is referring to someone born with both, partial, or no sexual organs. As such, they are completely outside the realms of "normal" descriptions of gender identity, gender expression, sexual orientation and biological sex. The only reason I consider GLBTI communities to be factual is because they share one absolute thing in common: going against what has been perceived as traditional according to the supposed original nature of humanity. Beyond that, there are fluctuations in every human that both agree with certain traits and oppose others according to certain elements that have influenced an individual's life. Where you were born, when you were born, who your family is, who your friends are, religion... We are so diverse that on a basic level, we can only be referred to as humans. In fact, I find sexually segregated restrooms to be silly.

That aside, my original point is that although it is rather redundent to segregate people into a GLBTI community, some find it necessary because of certain aspects of their environment. Acceptance is often times not common, much less tolerance; so many people find comfort in banning together under such a title. I share as much in common with those of the GLBTI community as I do with heterosexual people; I don't even consider myself to be a transsexual. That's the label that society likes to have on me so they know what the fuck I am, so I don't depend on it myself. BUT, there are those who do, so you can't just ignore their need to identify with such a community.

Yeah, that probably went nowhere, but whatever... I've grown tired of this message board, and I remember why I left it before.
