Yesterday I moved.my haunted kitchen clock to the bathroom. So far it's keeping perfect time.

 

How bizzare.

The ghost is still next door to me. THEIR dog is not happy, and even the local fox freaked out!!!!

On the other hand, you could try getting sober and seeing whether they still appear.

On a more serious note.
If your sons computer has windows 10 as it's operating language, it may be set to automatically 'sleep', as it's default energy saving mode particularly if it is a laptop.
When it wakes up, if the sound is turned up, it can go into feedback with it's internal microphone. A simple movement can cause it to wake up during the night.(such as being on his bed), it would account for the sudden noises that you heard.
It has happened to our son several times. In our case it is because he lets the cat sleep in his room.

 

I was sober when it all started.
It has moved to my neighbours' house now.
Some weird stuff happening with them.
The poor dog is a wreck.

 

I think my ghost has returned.
My new doorbell keeps ringing and there is no-one there.
My kettle keeps turning itself on!!!!
