That is genuinely a very nice fence post. I love old gates and posts. Especially when they have that pale green lichen. Rusting barbed wire. Lovely.

I just don't feel like it's anything special. It's not especially straight or anything. Probably the next post down the line looks just as good. And, in fact, I kind of feel bad for the rest of the posts, as though they aren't special enough to be photographed.

Doubt it's my favorite post.

Oh, of course.. All the other posts on the fence are probably equally as attractive. The being not straight is part of their beauty.. Not like a new modern fence where each post is dead straight and identical to the one before it.
