The Theranos Laboratory is in real hot water with the government and regulators determined to shut down this fraudulent lab and it's colorful owner. Theranos was founded in Palo Alto by Elizabeth Holmes in 2003. Since the beginning the company has been under scrutiny. The company features an interesting array of board members including Henry Kissinger and military and political elite: Richard Kovacevich– former Chief Executive Officer of Wells Fargo & Company and Chairman of the Board from 2001-2009. William Perry– Former Secretary of Defense Riley P. Bechtel -Chairman of the Board and a Director of Bechtel Group, Inc Bill Frist- Former U.S. Senate Majority Leader Samuel Nunn– former United States Senator from Georgia and Chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee And now according to NPR federal regulators will bar the company's dynamic founder and CEO Elizabeth Holmes from owning or operating a lab for at least two years.
