Zephyr: Aww. thank you. I just recently "became" a vegetarian. so i havent still found out so many good vegetarian recepies.. And my family is very anti with me being a vegetarian. so finding recepies that's similar to meat-recepies, is very good. Thank you again.
No problem. I'm sure your family will get used to the idea in time. They're probably just worried that you won't be getting all the nutrients you need from meat-free foods. If you need to find some recipies click here. Hope this helps!
Yeah. that's actually what they are worrying about, cause im not actually "supposed" to be a vegetarian for my doctor. cause i've been fainting too much and stuff like that. but it doesnt keep my from trying. For how long have you been a vego?
Well as long as you eat the recommended portions of fruit and veg daily and get your protein from tofu or quorn or nuts and seeds, and maybe take some vitamin supplements to help you out you should be fine. I've been a vegetarian since I was 8 and a vegan since I was 12. My parents are very liberal though, and they supported my decisions. Guess I'm just lucky that way. If you need any help with anything let me know. ~Love, Light & Happiness ~
.. the worst thing is how everybody's asking you.. "why don't you eat meat?!" so you say it and.. "Aaaahhaha, you are crazy " I still don't understand why "crazy".. hmm..
Well... if we were to stop eating bread they wouldn't be like "You're crazy" so why should they do it because of meat, ya know.
EXACTLY! Yep.. my parents are typical example.. you know.. my mum is making me a dinner and I say.. "please, without a meat" and she gives me a bread with HAM cheese.. do you understand?!? Hehhe.. I don't...
Zephyr: Aww. you're so nice. I do eat alot of quorn. my friend that i live with alot in the weeks is a vegetarian so i get "my kind of food" there. But im allergic to alot of things like carrots, pepper, kiwi, plum, nuts, etc. it's driving me crasy, but i'll live with it. Wow. a vegan since you were 12, what did your friends in school think? what food did you eat then? Jana: Hahha! i think your mom is giving you small "hints". *thihi* My friends in school are like: you're a stupid motherfucker for being a vegetarian. i mean why? etc. etc. Haha. but since im such a bad-ass person, i'll just say that this is me, live with it. *thihi* and suprisingly, they have so far! But now they are like: but if you join Greenpeace and start protesting i wont be friends with you anymore. what she didnt know was that i already had. *thihi* Today i bought a croissant, they were next to the wienerbreads and stuff so i bought one with the thought in my head that it was a normal one with butter inside. Guess if i was suprised when i took a bite and meat fell down in my lap. *no, i dont eat like a pig, it was just alot of meat in it* Grrr. so i just spit it out and threw it..
MiniBix: My firends respect the fact that I'm a vegan but at first they asked all the regular questions like "Why?" blah blah lol!! I don't mind anyway, I'll live my life the way I want too. I've been pretty much eating the same types of things when I was 12 as I am now. Tofu is so versatile you can have it with anything, and I love vegtables and nuts and seeds too so that's cool. The only problems I ever have is when I eat out but there are ways around everything!!
Zephyr: Okey, but that's awesome that you have found a way to get everything to work out with you being a vegan. i just hate that fact that when im out in the town, shopping or whatever, you cant buy vegetarian food, only hot dogs, and that's a real pain in the ass when youre super hungry..
Yeah where I live there is a great vegetarian and vegan only resteraunt. You could have veggie soup or salads when you're out in town or maybe sandwiches or something.
Wow. then you're a lucky one.. Stockholm doesnt have that much vegetarian places. actually. i havent found one yet...
Oh too bad, there isn't that many here, I have to search lol! IT's a pain in the ass though, I mean there are vegetarians everywhere, ya thinkmore places would cater for them!!
