You don't have to be in the hospital in a near death situation to be entitled to make such a thread like this.

 

I can't sleep becauase my spinal cord hurts, and I'm shaking. I'm restless. So, I know how you feel. I'm sorry.

 

omg ..this one time ...at band camp....i got a sliver in my pinky and thought i was dieing it hurt so much

 

The pain was so bad this morning I ended up going to the ER. Turns out what I have is not a peritonsillar abscess, but rather tonsillitis. More than that, I found out I have mono, and it turns out that enlarged, swollen tonsils and sore throat are part of mono. So much for going to the gym for the next two months. I went home with a prescription for Penicillin and Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen. Now I am finally going to try and get some sleep.

 

Yikes, sorry to hear that. Mono is pretty horrible, mostly because it lasts for a really long time...but nevertheless, i hope you feel better soon

Honestly, I wish I could come give you a snuggle. Snuggles make everything better.

 

I do make a pretty steady diet of my girlfriend's saliva, but she has not had mono in the time I've been with her. However, I hear that it is possible to carry mono but not actually have the disease.

Anyhow, my girlfriend now has to get tested for it. And I am told I cannot kiss her for six months. I am not sure how that will work, but she's already been exposed anyway.

I am thinking I may have caught it from her, though she has not had any symptoms.

After all it IS called "the kissing disease."

She works in a hospital, right? So it is highly likely that she picked it up from work and that is how you caught it.

6 months without kissing? Oh my fucking god, how could anyone manage that? I suppose you could kiss everywhere but the mouth....

 

Sore throats are the worst form of a fever or cold of any kind. I can't imagine what you're going through.

 

what the hell? is mono supposed to be contagious for that long? or is this something to do with the tonsillitis?
