Ah well, a lot of bands (like Nickelback, Kid Rock and Greenday) named in this thread aren't metal.

I wouldn't call them metal either but they were the results of the nu-metal boom in the late-90's so I guess they make the list by default!

 

How can cradle of filth not be metal? out of those bands i liked 3. I also liked sonata artica.

 

I'll agree with you on 4/5 of these. Come on, KoRn? They're fucking amazing...sure they spawned what is now called "nu-metal" but cant they be praised for creating an ENTIRE genre of music *no matter how shitty it is*? I've been listening to them for 8 years now, and they still kick ass.

 

Fuck korn's new shit. Korn is good when they are not trying to be someone else, like any other band. you cant really profile 'worst bands ever' because there will always be someone to there to disagree with you. I hate evanesence. i hate kid-rock. however i love the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Primus, Mudvayne and Tool. I could really care less about anyone else's oppinion about what i like and dont like because im no preppy bitch. screw punk rock, country and rap.

I really don't like anything from Slipknot...don't know why. I hate Green Day, they really, really do suck. Um, I can't stand 80's "rock", especially ac/dc...I shudder just thinking about that crap. I'm sure this is going to open a can of worms, but, I like Marilyn Manson. Mostly his old stuff, nothing after his Antichrist Superstar album. As far as OPM, I love them. I do actually hate that song "If I die (before I wake)"...that song is just retched, but their other stuff is actually decent.

 

Didn't they also do El Capitan? Not exactly a classic.

nirvana, green day, avenged sevenfold, most of the shit on MTV pretty much the majority of metal bands all emo music, mindless self indulgence and the majority of rap
