The worst band ever

Sum 41...and all these popy wannabe punk or rock bands...
Blink 182...
death, thrash ...and other violent metal groups

 

Well... Some of you have some strange dislikes... AC/DC? (If "Highway To Hell" and "Back In Black" hadn't cracked the door open for metal in pop culture, bands like Metallica may have never gotten a fair shot and metal certainly would have never enjoyed so much popularity that it had in the 80's.) NIRVANA? TOOL? Really? Out of all the crappy bands out there, THIS is what you dislike?

Here are mine:

Dragonforce (leather pants, keytar, really suck live)
Nickelback (... it's like Blackjack never broke up, folks)
Limp Bizkit (RATM for morons)
Avenged Sevenfold (republican GNR rip-offs)
Saliva (prep school metal)

 

Well, to be honest, I am not interested in Metallica at all, so AC/DC did not do me any favors in that sense. I consider Black Sabbath much more influential to metal music than AC/DC, but I suppose this is just a matter of personal opinion. I will admit I would rather listen to AC/DC than these newer mainstream bands, but I just do not have the same taste for them that I do for other rock artists. There are only about two songs of their's I can handle without turning the volume completely down, and they are not "Highway to Hell" or "Back in Black" (as a matter of fact, those two are among the most annoying, in my opinion). Everyone likes what they like, though. What may be incredible music to you may be garbage to me (and the other way around).

Deciding that a band is the worst because their members have leather pants doesn't really make sense either.

 

I do not think you are being fair by asking not to be judged right after judging. I do not like Creed, but I would never insult their fans or any other fans of bands I am not interested in.

Cannibal Corpse! Anyone heard these guys? Their lyrics are grotesque.

It's pretty agressive death metal. No singing, just grunting. I don't think you like it

At a festival with the right crowd they do make a great party though, but it's also not the kind of music I like to put on.

Cannibal Corpse is the most popular death metal band in the world. They still suck.

I take it all of the nu-metal and glam-metal and pop metal has already been denounced throughout this thread, so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Mastadon. A lot of people are hailing those guys as the saviors of metal. I went out on a limb and bought Blood Mountain. I've listened to it a few times, and eventually gave up. It's like they tried to make the most uncatchy album in the world. If I try really hard, I can remember 2 riffs from the entire album. The entire thing just passed over me.

Oh, and just incase noones said it before me : Avenged Sevenfold.

 

ICP are now and forever the reigning champions of shitty bands.

At least the death metal grunting types at least touch on something generally resembling music, and the musicians themselves aren't complete twats.

 

Mastodon is a good band, I don't see them as the saviours of metal but on the other hand I haven't heard people thinking they are at all. So I don't know how you got that idea.
I'm also not a fan of Cannible Corpse, but of course you have to dig death metal to appreciate their music.

 

Yes!! very true! they serve no purpose to like, except for people to say that they hate "rap" music, yet love ICP! It's impossible..

 

I would love to hear your reasoning behind that. There are only generations of millions of people that love AC DC. What do you not like about thier music?
