    Good thread.

I'm way to stoned to read the OP so I'll just ramble on with my trivial thoughts before I continue galivanting around the internet.

Anyway, alot of people don't realize that the Mayan calender was extremely hard to decipher and the Mayan priests that used it were each given almanacs to use. The modern day historians and scientist don't have these almanacs. We also, conveniently, forget that the Mayans had to equivelant of the "leap year". So, to the Mayans, the date known as 12/21/2012 may have already passed. This is further complicated that their "years" had 360 days, not 365.

The possibility of a cosmic happening on this date that will be a detriment to life on Earth, however, is high. But, it's always high. We live in the middle of a gauntlet of asteroids and solar winds and radiation that makes an H bomb look like something a papercut would laugh at.

Also, many of the satellites and objects we've sent to space aren't where out physics and trigonometry say they should be. AKA we don't know nearly as much as we think we do. At best we are clever apes.

Let's look at past prophecies. We only pay attention to the ones that come to fruition. Notice that we never pay attention to the ones that predicted the complete opposite. For every valid prediction, there is one that predicted the complete opposite. But we don't talk about those since they aren't the sexy conversation piece.

It amazes me how someone so young could have such a closed mind. I suggest you study up on spirituality instead of "living your life normally". Whatever normal is supposed to mean (probably watching tv, playing video games and going to the mall, etc).
