Post now your predictions for the world in 2023. We will let this thread sink into the deep, forgotten holes of the Hipfora and revive it in 10 years to see which predictions came through. In 2023 I predict: - everyone in the world has free internet access - China has passed the US for highest GPD - most people pay with virtual currencies - the EU will be bankrupt - feelings, emotions and love can be bought in (web)shops - US$ will devaluate a lot More to come when I think of more.
In the midst of rapidly declining world oil supplies, the vehicle of choice will still be the gasoline powered internal combustion engine hotwater
bbad you arent THAT old are you? \Im predicting that there will be some technological advances in terms of energy use but majority will still be using gasoline engines as we deplete oil supplies. The US will probably be in another war. The UK is going to have EVEN MORE immigrants that dont want to respect the country and there will be a lot of turmoil between them. India will either rise or fall based on the cast system that separates so many. VERY interesting thread btw, good job OP. Plus repped.

3D printers will be manufacturing all sorts of items that you will download from the net. However, the "Ink" cartridges will cost more than the item. Information will become more unreliable as you won't be able to tell reality from fiction due to conflicts and informational massage. Walter Cronkite will reappear as a "Max Headroom" type newscaster to allay our fears. A new generation of HipForum users will appear to explain to us old hippie type freaky people from the 60's why we don't know what we're talking about. And they will be right. Amelia Erhart will be found. Not so for Jimmy Hoffa. Water will be found to be bad for your health, especially bottled water which will be going for $24.99 a pint.
the city of Baltimore will be nothing more than a desolate concrete shithole of crumbling brick buildings with no economic activity, the central bussess district will be the mccollough homes housing project towers, with drugs being the only economic force in the city.
The fashion and design industry will go return to the 60's/70s China's gonna be kicking economic ass, take over the world, and the yanks will be all crying into their new McDoggy burgers. We'll have some crazy new space tech that'll be taking us all over the solar system.. by "us" I mean winged shrapnel with a camera. Marijuana will be legalised in most countries(maybe give it 20) Psychedelics and empathogens will start to creep in to the strange world of psychotherapy, won't be used, but they'll be studied more often. Politicians will still be dicks Oh, and hemp tech - that'll start growing(how punny...) in popularity
