if we got enough people on this thread to use a word i bet it would be "in" this year. i wated razor to become the new sharp after hearing it on the faculty or a similar movie. but that just didnt catch on. i think i could start saying aching shorten it to akin for the increasing A.D.D. crowd. and it means i want that. so it would be anything good that i cant have. bill gates house is akin.
I use sweet a lot. Never stopped using cool. I go through phases of trying to bring 'Beauty' back (Canuckistanian slang) And like one other here, I sometimes browncoat out and use shiny.
I've been using cool since cool became cool. Cool,eh? Cool. Worked in 113 degrees a couple times. "oh,this is a hot motherfucker--I'm going home". Otherwise, never used it as slang.
Hot pants were around in the mid sixties. Cool has been around since the fifties. As in "He's a real cool cat, daddy-o". And let us not forget Spiffy.
Cool and hot are such radical (why don't we bring this one back?) words. I have my own language entirely. I use words completely outta context and nothing I say, really, makes any sense whatsoever And I am continually inventing new phrases.
I do this too although it always makes sense to me and most of the time I also expect it to make sense to others I have the feeling every once in awhile it does so I naturally keep on doing it :sunny:
Yeah that's what I strive for too haha! Although, my husband understands most of it (poor sap is stuck with it for the rest of his life  ) My favorite part is when I'm doing that and people act like I said something so bizarre and I act like whatever I said is the "in thing" Like when I went on the kick where every time I got mad, I said I wanted to kick babies...people were STUNNED I said it...and I was all like pshhhh...kicking babies is totally rad, man!
I'll never tire of thinking ways up to murder or inflict severe damage to the little twats who insist on saying "sick" but they do it in a way that's... "No way man, that is ssssssssssick man" presumably covering their counterpart in spittle. They do it for "mint" or "amazing"- prolonging on the letter m... mmmmmmint ammmmmmazing mmmmmassive In my day it was "nice one" "top one" "wicked" and "sorted".... they never upset anyone :wheelchair:
