Raiynebow sits beside Kate and her friends, loving the peace and love surrounding her. "This is Raynebow Ryver." she says softly, handing the sleeping baby to Kate. The baby is wrapped in a blanket with flowers all over it. She is sleeping very peacefully despite all the goings on around her.
Kate sits quietly, rocking back and forth in steady rythm with the sleeping baby's heartbeat, grooving to the distant sound of a guitar being strummed gently. In the distant the two girls can see tents being set up and flags with huge, rainbow coloured peace signs flying in the air. "Why don't we make our way over there?" She suggests, adjusting her backpack. "We can find a place to crash for the next three days?"
"Sounds Groovy." Raiyne picks up her stuff and walks with the group over to the campsite. As they pass, a group of cute guy hippies checks them out. The music and crowd noise grows louder with each step, and Raiyne has to make shure the baby doesn't wake up. Taking the baby back from Kate, Raiyne kisses the baby softly. "I love you darling." she whispres to her sleeping child. Soon, they approach the campsite. "This looks like a groovy place to crash." and they start setting up camp, watching the cute hippy guys in the distance who are looking over in their direction.
Kate spreads herself out on the grass and shuts her eyes. A cool breeze whistles gently over her. Suddenly she hears footseps draw closely towards her, she sits up abrubtly to find the group of hippy guys settling themselves down in between her and Raiyne. Without speaking one of them lights a joint and starts passing it around. The group start laughing, chatting and hugging one another.
"Hey hey dudes! Not around the baby!!!!" Raiyne covors her baby's head up. "I wanna hangout with you guys... But... I don't want to set my baby down. I don't really know I don't want anything to happen to her. But boy would I like to smoke some with you..." BTW Kate, I named my toy airplane Jefferson!!!
"Don't worry sister that's cool." Says one of the cutest members of the group. "Yeah c'mon guys. Not in front of the baby!" He quickly gets rid of the joint just as a cop is walking by, eyeing them suspiciously. As soon as he is gone the group bursts out laughing. One of the guys gets out his guitar and starts strumming. Kate gets up and starts dancing, gigling all the time, suddenly the whole group are up weaving in and out of one another and grooving to the music. As Raiyne jigs up and down her baby wakes up. She likes the jiggling motion and begins to laugh a delicious, sweet, innocent babies laugh.
The sound of music (HEY! I LIKE THAT MOVIE! LOL!) is heard playing. The 1st preformer, Richie Havens, is onstage warming up. Crowds of people are gathering around the stage to hear the music. Raiyne and her newfound friends make their way up really close to the stage, close to the preformers. Raiyne covers her daughter's ears as the music blasts. Her and her friends are having a wonderful time, dancing and singing along to the music. The baby just giggles as she is in her dancing mother's arms...
A young Mother is resting beside the road with her young child, passing the time playing handclapping games and 'I Spy'. They have already trecked for two miles and the hot dust is caught in her breath and her untamed hair. They had to leave their split screen bus way behind them as the road was completley blocked. Her partner has had to pull all their camping equipment and food in a childs trolley...and hoping above all else that they will find somewhere sheltered to pitch the tent. Her partner is sitting at her side, rolling a joint (the first of many for the day) and humming 'Blowing In The Wind'. The young woman feels like a cog in something turning, and that after these three days, nothing will ever be the same again. She is looking forward most to hearing Janis Joplin and Richie Havens singing and plans to add to her bead collection by trading some hand crafted goods that she has made herself, at one of the many craft stalls at the fayre.

Obviously none of you were even on the road to Woodstock bc it was nothing like you write.. think a little deeper... hot guys?!? how superficial.. Woodstock was NOT about hot guys..or childish fantacy.. really.. if it was about kids stuff it would have never gotten to be what it was.. Hip up a little.. dig the real scean that was happening.. EVERYONE was high on LSD-25 or heavier phychidelics.. You talk like it' s a day in the park.. It was mind bending.. bend your minds a little. Love n Light sh
Yeah, ok. Ppl ARE glamorizing the '60s, true. I realize it wasn't all sunshine flowers and rainbows, but jesuschrist man, we're just playing it the way we're playing it. Just let us do it how we want, and you can do it the way you want. Can't we just compromise?
^Not wanting to hurt anybody's feelings here but I agree. We know it was nothing like this but like Raiyne said, we're just having fun, we're just playing a game. Why is everyone so down on that? Peace and love people xxxx
