    The war against transgender people continues, led by the devil's henchmen in Texas:

    Why would they want a list of trans people in Texas? Not so that they can give us grants to cover our medical treatments, that's for sure. Clearly, they plan to attack trans Texans individually. Who know what shit they have planned for our brothers and sisters there?

    It is only a matter of time before they make all trans people wear pink triangles on their sleeves. They won't stop with trans people. Gays will be next. Then Jews and Muslims. It has happened before. We know where this ends up.

    Texas man charged for threatening Boston doctor who provides care to transgender patients

    Texas man is facing a criminal charge after allegedly threatening a Boston doctor for providing care to transgender people, prosecutors said Thursday.

    On Aug. 31, Lindner allegedly called the Boston-based National LGBTQIA+ Health Education Center and left a threatening voicemail targeted at a doctor affiliated with the center.

    “You sick motherf*****s, you’re all gonna burn. There’s a group of people on their way to handle [victim]. You signed your own warrant, [victim]. Castrating our children. You’ve woken up enough people. And upset enough of us. And you signed your own ticket. Sleep well, you f******, c***,” Lindner allegedly said in the voicemail, according to U.S. Attorney Rachael Rollins office

    Matthew Jordan Lindner, 38, of Comfort, Texas was arrested on Dec. 2 and released on bond. He is scheduled to appear in federal court in Boston on Dec. 22.

    Officials said Lindner’s alleged actions could be the result of inaccurate information that spread online in August regarding procedures at Boston Children’s Hospital for gender nonconforming children.

    Boston Children’s has been the subject of     multiple threats this year, particularly targeted at its Gender Multispecialty Service (GeMS). It was the first major program in the country to specifically focus on providing care for gender-diverse and transgender adolescents, according to the hospital.

    The hospital said it has received a wide array of hate mail, death threats, and other related messages this year. This “sustained harassment campaign,” as Rollins called it in September, appears to be the result of misinformation spread by a Twitter account called “Libs of TikTok,”

    If it were just Texas, we might suspect that something in the water fosters a propensity for bigotry and violence but it’s more widespread than that. Could it be some impurity in cheap beer? Rural America seems hell bent on crawling back down the evolutionary chain. Oops…they don’t believe in evolution either.

    Maybe that's it! Maybe they are the way they are in a futile attempt to "prove" that there is no evolution. *Sigh*

    You are right; it's not just Texas. Texas just seems to be the epicentre of hate at the moment.

    Rural North Dakota. Only thing they believe in is what Tucker Carlson tells them to believe in. Hell my neighbor has a trump 2024 flag up. Cheap beer, meth and Fox News....

    No, trans is not theatre. You are thinking of Drag. Drag performers are actors, and take off their costumes when the performance is over.

    Trans is people being their authentic self. Being trans is not a performance. It is never over. Drag performers have a choice: "Shall I perform tonight or not?" Trans people do not have a choice. We are who we are, and that's all that we are.

    The idea that trans is theatre is the Big Lie that the far right uses to justify their oppression. The question "Why" should really apply to them. Why do they wish to oppress people who are just minding their own business?

    I have never understood the desire of others to control and manipulate others out of a desire to improve their "morals."

    Whose morals are we talking about here?

    Your own thoughts? Or some propaganda you've been raised with all your life?

    If someone is not bothering you, leave them alone. Look the other way, change the channel. Many options are available :)

    I'd say the same for the ones that are a bother... walk away and then there is no drama.

    We all need the freedom to express ourselves.

    For many years I have been part of a group whose members prefer to remain anonymous. Lots of slogans help achieve one more day of sobriety. Slogans like live and and let live, clean up your own side of the street, first things first, easy does it, one day at a time. Works for me.

    How is that relevant to the topic? As I said, trans is not theatre, so your theatre experience is not relevant to trans-ness.

    If your initial statement had been that propaganda campaigns are theatre, it would have been relevant to the topic of the thread, and I would have agreed. As it stands, it is just a random utterance that is not factual.

    Hmmm...... If you had a list of people who had changed their gender identity you could run that against a list of people with criminal records and see if you get any matches. It's just a wild guess but Paxton is definitely fishing for something.

    You could do the same matching between a list of registered Republicans and a list of criminals. You might get more hits. Why pick on transgender people?

    He is definitely fishing for something, and whatever it is, it isn't good. Clearly, he intends to attack individuals, not just trans people as a group. The only unknown is the nature of the attack.

    Line from the old Johnathan Edwards song comes to mind…..he can’t even run his own life, be dammed if he’ll run mine….Time spent in hate and control is lost time and few of can afford to squander the time we have. Peace, love and inclusion feel a lot better.
