Funny how you try and tell me what to believe. The bible clearly states that Satan is the ruler of the world right now. How do you explain human suffering?
I don't tell you what to believe at all, wtf. You are the one presenting your (fictional I think) beliefs as fact. You can believe everything you want for all I care. Action -> reaction.
The death of sin is living wages. If I'm going to read a book about magic, harry potter is much better written than the bible, and has considerably more bearing on our modern lives.
Harry Potter reads better because it was written in more recent times as an entertaining novel, unlike the bible. edit: I don't think people read the bible primarily because they're interested in magic either. So, it seems a strange comparison either way.
So if sin be an error in perception then it behooves us to learn. You have know idea what you will do nor what you would do, nor can you recall everything you have done Your comparing books like one might have a bigger dick. If you have to earn a wage to live then you haven't seen what living can be like.
First time I bowled, I bowled a 180. I thought " well--that was easy. Now I'm a bowler." Never even hit 130 after that. Same with life. As I matured and tried to pay attention to the relative meaning and purpose of "it all," I thought " well, that was easy. I now understand." In both cases, I was mistaken.
Really? Harry Pothead has more bearing on our lives? You under estimate your existence and God and there are modern translations which read more like a book. The king james version is a bit out dated and no one talks like that anymore
If this is God's world right now...why the diseases, wars and injustice? The way things are now are not what God originally intended. Man was supposed to expand the borders of eden and make the entire earth into a paradise. That is God's purpose and it will happen in due time. Tick tock, tick tock
Because you do not know how to speak with the breath god breathed into you. you were told you were less than the crown of gods creation. I can describe exactly how the fall occurs and it happens every time a child is punished for making a mistake. It is what turns joyful babies into clinging insecure toddlers. It creates the impression in the virgin mind that he world is not trustworthy. And since you can't trust anything you see you can't see the trust god gave you. the church of rome poluted the whole church not just in terms of the catholic church.
The saying that unravels the question of when will things be put right is this. No one knows the hour of his coming because love does not wait on time, but invitation you have not because you asked not, you were taught to wait and see and waiting to see means that you are blind.

What you see is what you call into being for yourself through the power of the breath that comes into the body from the holy principality for the purpose of informing our universe. You have been in deed accomplishing your will with all the power that is possibly available. consider it is the reason the world is in the conditionit is The word condition means to speak with con-diciere. No ritual sacrifice is required but the finest speech is. I can teach you how to speak by showing you how to behold the world and it will inform your speech Let those who choose to claim their place among the lights of this universe hear what I am saying Speak joy into the our experience. It belongs among the stars. Say only what you feel be your heart and your heart will be ministered to by the universe which in itself is every bit informed. Do Not Be Afraid. You know me as an historical figure. Know that it is your history pass present and future from the beginning. Hello friends.

Well I suppose you could just re-write the bible so that it's a better book, yes. But it would make a lot more sense to write a better book that's either true, or divorced enough from that particular toxic death-causing fiction so as to be enjoyable fiction. If I need to pursue a bible passage, I generally opt for young's literal translation. Can't imagine why I'd want to take what little meaning there is out of it....
The part where it reads "you have know idea" is slightly confusing. I hope it is just an error otherwise I am missing something
Maybe it does on his life. What do we know. Why not? The entire earth is a paradise. It is full of miracles. That you can imagine an utopia without diseases, war and injustice does not mean this world is crap or ruled/made by Satan/evil (abstract human concept). It's all in the eye of the beholder so to say. And how are man not expanding 'the borders of eden' when you point out what makes this world bad and what man are supposed to do? Are we not developing systems against injustice and cures against diseases? Look at where we came from. We are doing excellent (albeit by trial and error)! God must be proud of us (if He were human)
You have other essential functions in the elemental functions of our solar system. We are the voice coming from the creative space of matter. Again the anagram of noahs ark first version known by air this is the seat of translation from spirit into matter Second version no air built in cubits we come here to play a game of cubits through absorption refection and polarity we take it in our sensational world reflect on it and roll the little cubes into material being you can intone bread
An acceptable explanation (exegesis) of this sort of quote would probably take the line that 'death' in this context means 'dead to God's grace' or 'dead to the salvific effect of the crucifixion' or some such rubbish. But this is a quote from one of Paul's letters to the Romans and as such it should be ignored. Not because it's to the Romans but because of who it's from. Before he was Paul, he was Saul of Tarsus. Located in present day Turkey, Tarsus was a Greek city and a reknowned centre of neoplatonism. Just from reading his letters, it's clear that Paul was well versed in Plato's thinking. This is not controversial. This is well known to and universally accepted by new testament scholars, So Paul wanted to harmonize Plato with Moses, and use the reults to improve on Jesus. Unfortunately, the result was a dog's breakfas and it took hold. Results? 2,000 years of fretting about sin, a very small part of Jesus' teaching. Misplaced focus on the crucifixion as redemption from sin. It is not. Making the ressurection a nice afterthought instead of the whole point of the thing. The start of the ongoing fuss of science vs. religion Successful holding back of scientific progress for who knows how long. Misplaced focus on the 'second coming' when once was enough. Focus on an afterlife, when, in fact the Kingom of God is here, now. Serious retardation of social justice, since earthly matters are by definition a 'vale of tears' in Platonic dualism, far inferior to spiritual matters. This whole thread is a good example of Pauline christianity. Discussion has been confusing as contributors have often misunderstood how others understood certain terms, leading to a few ruffled feathers. A good summary of Paul's contribution: confusion and discord. God help us all.
