you haven't been outside the states have you?

maybe not even the comfort of your own state?

no other country lets you speak your mind according to you? hahahaha

you are honestly talking out of your ass and aren't to informed if that is what you think.

Like it or leave? real democratic attitude there...gimmie a break dude. If you truly love where you are, you need to provide tough love from time to time and try to make it better. It is called being critical, try it sometime instead of absorbing everything that is spewed to you from the idiot box. Anything but a fascist thought police who hails the mighty usa and tells those who practice dissent to leave.

"I know too many people who voted for Bush and now regret it. Should have fucking thought of that before. I know too many people who initially supported the war and now say "Now it's just out of hand"...well what did you think, war was going to be simple?

People need to start using their fucking heads. If the people don't start using their heads, the government will never improve."

all too true. i neither love nor hate any country. what the hell is a country anyway?

i love little furry creatures and trees and hillsides. i love the concept of trains as a tecnology, and noncombustive ways of generating electrical energy.

i don't love the coerciveness of human society and i certainly don't love putting idiology, or much of anything else, ahead of the avoidance of causing suffering.

governments exist for two reasons. one being the lack of any good way to prevent them from doing so. the other is to settle disputes over resources and infrastructure.

preferably not by belligerance. there is no honor in belligerance, but people get into power lining their pockets by trying to convince others that there is.

there certainly are problems. it only takes one bush to start a war. but it took all of us to allow conditions to exist that created a market for the corporate mafia that put him there.

turning a blind eye to corners being cut here and there, in the absurd assumption that there would be something in it for the rest of us, or at least each individual who did.

pretending its all rosey isn't going to help. bennifit is bennifit and harm is harm trumps loyalty and emotions for each and every one who feels it personally. and anyone who thinks it won't affect them, just hasn't had their turn yet. and then when it does, you hear tunes chainging every time.

there's a reason we were given brains. its about time we start using them.

REALLY!?! I never voted for him.

Tell me please, since you seem to have the answers, how does one seriously go about leaving?

LoL. I wonder the same thing! I mean, I'm certainly not making enough money to go anywhere.

And I also wasn't of age to vote when Bush was a candidate. I think that's what I find most amusing. The fact that the decisions he has made have affected me, yet I didn't have the power to stop him. In fact, even when someone "votes" him in to power, are they supposed to be psychic and just KNOW that he was going to enact the Patriot Act to take away some of our written rights?

Personally its hard for me to find many Bush voters who are satisified with the current direction of his administration. The war in Iraq was at least expected to afford us cheap gasoline, which it now appears will not happen. If gas were cheaper Id say people would say the war was going better.

I have every right to have any opinion I want about what the leader of the country I'm living in has done. It's called freedom of speech. If you don't like it, tough.

Everything he has done has affected each and every one of us, whether directly or indirectly. Don't you dare tell me how to feel or what to think.

well piece of mind, you still fail to state any facts on how bush has affected you. and please stop using the whole "freedom of speech" line, its played out. everyone knows about it, your not telling anybody anything new

"One of the reasons that this country has so many problems and continues to take more of our freedoms away is that instead of being idealistic and trying to change things, we get people telling us that if we don't like things here we should go somewhere else. The same people that are saying that are usually part of the problem anyway, helping the fascist, sorry-ass Republicans get re-elected so they can progressively take more of our freedoms away."

The Republicians did not do this in a vacuum. Do you remeber when the dems shouted from the rooftops, about not being able to stop the republicans because they have the majority?

Don't you find it interesting that now that they have the majority, the republicans are so effective in blocking their actions?

It's all a sick game, and the odds are not in our favor.

Since when does something have to affect me directly for me to have an opinion on it? lol...that's some crazy logic there.

Hmm, perhaps you don't understand the idea behind direct and indirect effects. Saying that it affects all of us, would imply that it affects us at least indirectly, if not directly.

Like I said, just because it doesn't affect a person DIRECTLY, doesn't mean that it doesn't have an effect nor does it mean that a person cannot have an opinion on the matter. :)

So, now that I've explained it, the answer would be (as it has been from the beginning) decisions that the leader of a country makes always affects the people...he's the leader of a country for cripe's sake, how could it not? The decisions he makes can (and do) affect those from other countries as well (whether directly or indirectly...to make it clear for you) when it comes to treaties and war.

And I am sure you are still patting yourself on the back and watching your portfolio grow due to that. That's why you support him. When your portfolio tanks, you have three properties you want to sell, but no one wants to buy, and the congress has to clean up his mess perhaps you'll consider other issues and Presidential mandates he pushed through. Maybe when your wife finds out your cheating because your phone line has been easedropped on.
